Happy Monday guys! Hope you're having a good week so far :)

EARLY RELEASE: INBETWEENERS Series 2 Ep: 4 UNCUT

Comments

To me it sounded like an inferiority thing! But I've never felt any different on a bus than on the tube safety wise. Who knows!

Megan Ruth

Well if it's a snobbishness thing then that's pretty weird. But also I can totally see why women would hate taking public transport alone late at night, so maybe this is what they're referring to? I'm not sure how this would differ between the buses and the tube (maybe there are particularly bad bus routes).

Adam

oh yes absolutely! The comedy here especially is quite enjoyable :)

Megan Ruth

You're welcome! was wondering, have you enjoyed British telly in general?

Reece Brown

thank you!!

Megan Ruth

I don't prefer it over the tube, I think both have a place! TFL can be pretty good when it works... although it's still much better than Toronto!

Megan Ruth

Can't beat a inbetweeners reaction from someone from North America. Sums up normal British lads soo well. Really enjoying these!

Reece Brown

I agree about the buses, in London all the public transport is pretty good but the bus system is excellent. I prefer using it to the tube personally

James Aston

there seems to be! I've met quite a few people who are born Londoners (mostly women) who hate taking the bus!

Megan Ruth

Also, is there really still a snobbishness about taking a bus in London? I thought that was just as normal as taking the tube or any other transport?

Adam

It’s one of the great things about British comedy. It has very subtle references to the pervasive class structure of British society, but at the same time can make a joke about a bloke getting his knob stuck in a metal can!

Adam

Ahh ok! That makes sense! Thanks :)

Megan Ruth

Will doesn’t really display any autistic traits. It’s more that he grew up in a private school, where you’re almost (subtly) taught that you deserve a certain level of privilege in life, and then due to his parent’s divorce he had to move to a state school where he was unprepared for the everyday life of, well, real life! (No offence to anyone who went to a private school BTW).
