People like roasting "Content" creators/influencers, for why?
Added 2021-11-10 19:17:07 +0000 UTCThis week, I'm asking myself (and y'all) is Youtube lowbrow? What's the difference between "content" vs "art" and why aren't "content creators" or those wanting to be content creators given the same respect as celebrities and other artists?

Like you were saying everything that could have been classified as low brow at some point can shift to high brow if someone brings something really amazing to it and vice versa. I also love what you say about so much of what we do being something we're trying to find 'levels' within - creating hierarchies to determine VALUE instead of allowing creation to be creation and appreciating it for that. We can't seem to ever let things just BE. We have to categorize and assign worth to it. This ruins a lot of things I think. It's so cool how much things evolve, how this internet and youtube space has created such an opportunity for people to have ACCESS to what was once super exclusive. I love that it's equalizing in a way. Last thing! What made you decide to study opera? I watched your video where you were stating that you felt your degree was a waste - do you still feel that way? Where are you at with it now? <3
