YYAAASSS All of this is SO good! And "fun" that we can examine it in something like RPDR

I get that what I'm about to say isn't really the purpose necessarily of this video. But if we were to use 18:18 as the lens here... How would storytelling look if we lived in a Just system? Would it change? Stay the same? Would we still police Justice in narrative? Or would storytelling look more grey and full of nuance? Or or would we see more grimdark/cannibalistic storytelling to experience that catharsis we get from seeing Justice met out in an Unjust world? Like... this video and that realization left me with so many thoughts and questions 🥴

All of your thoughts are so on point here.
The way we demonize one another looking for 'justice' and continuity WITHIN the systems of oppression that are never going to allow for that justice to occur is so pervasive. We often feel so powerless to change the system, or don't even SEE that they system is set up on the foundations of exploitation, and thus we think attacking one another is the way to solve our problems.
We've been conditioned into a system that is fully rigged for certain people to continue accumulating wealth and power at the expense of everyone else, and because it's our 'normal' - when there's pain, we either blame OURSELVES (hello self improvement industry/diet culture/spirituality for the most part) or we blame another who is, as you said, 'winning' in the system just a little more than we are - or worse, we blame those who are even more marginalized/unsupported/hurting, calling their presence a threat to our already unsteady security.
We aren't seeing that what's really 'wrong' is the system that doesn't support anyone. As you stated, we've been trained to believe 'hard work' is the KEY to ALL success and a lack of hard work being the reason anyone doesn't have what they need - and this is just empirically false.
It's all very much a distraction from what's happening, and from coming together to demand change.
Thank you for speaking to all of this. Your observations and expansions are needed.
