Chad Bailey yawned as his alarm blared in his ear. He looked over at his clock, 6:39 am, “Shit” he muttered to himself as he threw on a pair of basketball shorts and a T-shirt. The Junior and Vice President Of the Beta Kappa Beta frat rushed into the bathroom to quickly brush his teeth. The token frat kid told his business professor Mr. Sanders he’d be at his office at 7 am to go over his paper. Chad was on the edge of a D and an F with 2 weeks left in the semester. If Mr. Sanders failed him it would severely hinder his chances for him to get an internship at a huge corporate bank, who his father had good connections with. He pedaled his bike across the empty campus to the business building.
He breathed a sigh of relief as he arrived at the building at 6:58. “Ah Mr. Bailey! Come in come in.” Chad sighed to himself, it was too early to be in a good mood, Mr. Sanders was the type of guy to go to bed at 7 and wake up at 4 every day. Chad pulled out his essay and handed it to Mr Sanders, who noticed Chad was still half asleep. “Would you like a refreshment? A student gave me these as a gift but I don’t like energy drinks.” Chad shrugged as his professor handed him the pink can. “Babe energy?” He thought that was the dumbest name for an energy drink he’d ever heard. But he was dragging butt, so he popped it open and took a small sip as his professor started glancing over his paper.
As Mr. Sanders started voicing his criticism, Chad felt weird. He nodded is head and acted like he could hear what Mr. Sanders was saying, but his head felt extremely funny, he felt like he was in a tunnel, seeing Mr Sander’s slowly getting farther away from him. “Chad are you alright son?” Mr. Sanders noticed the delusion on the frat kid’s smooth face. Chad grabbed his stomach, which was suddenly sharp with pain. “..N.. No” a squeaky voice managed to say as Chad fell to the floor in pain. Mr. Sanders stood over his student, panicked. He quickly looked at the drink he gave him, “Are you allergic to anything in here son?” He looked down at Chad who was still in the fetal position in pain.. He looked kind of… different. Chad tried to respond to his professor, but nothing came out. Mr. Sanders panicked, and took a sip of the drink to see how he would react to it. As he felt it go down his throat, he immediately regretted taking a sip. He suddenly felt nauseous, like he was going to vomit. “Mr. Bailey… we need to call.. 911” Mr. Sanders muttered as he fell to the floor in pain. That was the last thing Chad heard before everything went black.
It was the end of the year party at Beta Kappa Beta frat house. Almost every greek life student crowded into the tiny backyard of the frat house. Cassidy Bailey grinded up against her boyfriend as she took a sip of her beer, this Rihanna song was her favorite song. Cassidy was trying to get fucked up, it had been 2 weeks since she fainted in business building, so she had been taking it easy and not partying, which is tough for her. As the song ended she finally saw out of the corner of her eye her bff arriving. “Oh my god! You did go with the skirt! I told you that it would be fab!” She gave a cute hug to her sorority sister Brittany Sanders. Brittany was in a tight leopard print skirt that most girls her age wouldn’t dare try pulling off, but as Cassidy looked around, Brittany definitely had the attention of the party. But then again, when did she not? The sophomore sorority princess was known on campus as by far the most attractive girl. Brittany giggled, “Thanks Cass! Have you seen Mike? I really wanna talk to him!” Cassidy smiled, “I saw him but he had to go, he still has an engineering final.” Brittany’s face fell, “Oh.. I didn’t know he was into trains. Whatev, there’s definitely some other cute guys here!” What brainpower Brittany had left she used to make she sure she looked perfect, she’d only have a semester or two left before she would have to drop out. She didn’t really care though, her Instagram was already taking off. “Let’s take a pic with our drinks girlie!” She said to Cassidy. As Cassidy’s boyfriend took a pic of the 2 sorority queens Cassidy hugged her best friend a little tighter, she was so thankful for her.
