Weeks and months passed, and Elizabeth continued to be the last person Arthur had talked to from the University. Nobody really had a clue where he was or what happened to him, Elizabeth was obviously shook by the whole ordeal, but continued to teach her class. She had no idea what had happened to him, but if he was off finding himself then Elizabeth couldn’t have been more proud of him, she just wish he didn’t do it so… abruptly.
Elizabeth opened up PowerPoint as she saw her next class start to fill the lecture hall. It was the first day back from summer and Elizabeth was excited to start the school year. She watched as all sorts of students with different cliques flooded into the room. She was now the head film professor at Highlands University, even after the whole Professor Valentine incident, speaking of him, Elizabeth hadn’t heard what happened to him from the university, all she knew is that he went a little… off the rails, which she had heard through the grapevine. Elizabeth was concerned for him, she looked at him like a mentor, he was one of the smartest people she had ever known. She was really curious what had happened to him. Elizabeth shook her head as she realized she had to start class.
“Welcome to Rom Coms 101, I’m Professor Jones.” She looked across the lecture hall, she heard murmurs and laptop keyboards. “I’m going to start by taking Attendence.” As Elizabeth went through the class she had each student get up and introduce themselves, it mostly went smoothly besides a group of students obviously involved with Greek life sitting in the 2nd row. Elizabeth ignored them as she didn’t want to seem like a bitch on the first day. “Brad Smith” She called, a tall frat guy with a buzz cut and backwards baseball hat, “I’m Brad, a finance major, I’m the president of the Alpha Kappa frat and you
know I like to party.” He high fived his friend sitting next to him as the sorority girl rolled her eyes, but you could tell she thought he was cute. Elizabeth continued down the list, finally stopping at a name that stunned her, she recognized it immediately. “Ashleigh… Mae… Val-entine…” She stuttered to get out. She looked in horror as the sorority girl flirting with the frat guy rose from her seat,
. “Um hi!” She was twirling a piece of her dirty blonde hair in her hand, the little sorority girl was no taller than 5 ft. She had a petite frame besides her obviously fake breasts implants “I’m Ashleigh Mae! I’m a freshman! I just rushed Alpha Phi, I’m majoring in cosmetology and I looove shopping!” The entire class barely heard what she had said, as they were focused on her huge breasts tucked into her off the shoulder top. She gave a cute smile before smoothing her denim skirt and sitting down. Elizabeth was still stunned as she watched the frat guy whisper something in Ashleigh’s ear, who let out an infectious cute giggle. Elizabeth examined the class further, she noticed 90% of the boys couldn’t take their eyes off of her. Elizabeth had to continue through the class, trying to comprehend the information that somehow Arthur Valentine had been diminished into a giggly sorority girl.
Weeks passed, Elizabeth tried to ignore Ashleigh at first, but every time she saw the alluring and bubbly sorority princess dressing in shorter and shorter skirts, she couldn’t take it anymore. Elizabeth was determined to confront her, in hopes of finding Arthur somewhere. One day after class, Elizabeth managed to pull her from one of her frat boys while she was walking out, “Hey Ashleigh can I talk to you for just a sec.” Ashleigh rolled her eyes, she figured that it was going to be the same talk she had with the rest of professors, how college wasn’t about partying and that she needed to go to class, but Ashleigh knew it was totally okay because she was only here to find a man to marry. Elizabeth gave her a stern look, but that look very fast gave away to tears, “Arthur is that really you?” She managed to squeak out holding back her emotions. Ashleigh was confused for a second, but then she stopped for a second and remembered her old life, she cringed at the thought of everything she liked, and especially the clothes she used to wear. “Uh yeah, but I must say I used to be so gross!” Elizabeth looked at her in disappointment, Ashleigh tried to muster up what brain power she had left to explain, “Ohmygosh like just sit down it’s a lonnngg story!” Ashleigh went on to explain how she knew deep down she was still a 31 year old man, but after watching her fav rom com she knew what she wanted to see herself as, and did anything it took to achieve it. Ashleigh remembered the look her ex wife gave when she broke the news, she remembered the look on her siblings, and how stunned they were when they saw her after her first age reduction surgery. Ashleigh almost didn’t go through with it and contemplated going back to her old life. Ashleigh was finishing by explaining how she had never been happier when she glanced at her phone, “Ohmygosh it’s already 3:30?! The Gamma Phi pool party is about to start! I have to go Professor Jones this party is like REALLY important!” She slung her purse over her shoulder and girlishly ran in her heels of the room. Elizabeth stood and stared, still stunned even with an explanation.
