The Kpop Concert (Part 1)

I hope you guys like! This was a request, (I forget by who) but thank you so much for the idea! I actually know nothing about Kpop so pls don’t be offended Kpop fans if this story isn’t very accurate. 

The sound of bullets rang through the air. Alan missed every part of the target. “You need to choke up on the gun more bro.” His brother stepped in and grabbed the gun from him, he let out 5 quick shots, all striking the middle of the target. Justin just finished his first tour as a Navy SEAL, and was just glad to be home. Justin was a 6’ 3’’ 215 pound muscular beast. Being a Navy SEAL required being in the best shape possible, and to say Justin was in shape is an understatement. On the other hand Alan was a scrawny nerdy type kid, who barely resembled his brother. The two brothers were fairly close despite the 5 year age difference, growing up without a dad kind of made Justin Alan’s father figure. Alan was still a senior in high school, but he had no plans to join the military afterwards. Even though his family had a military tradition, Alan was the least bit interested, his true passion was music, and he especially loved Kpop. He was introduced to it by one of his friends a couple of years ago, and since then he had not stopped listening to it.

       On the way back from the gun range the car was silent, the brother’s didn’t really have much to say to each other so Alan turned on some music. He knew his brother thought less of him because he listened to Kpop, but he turned it on anyways. The infectious beat rang through Justin’s truck, but it was only about 20 seconds in when Justin spoke up, “Turn this gay shit off bro.” Alan tried to hide his disappointment, his approval of his brother was really important to him. “Cmon dude give it a chance” Alan sighed, “I hated it too but then my friend took me to a show.” Justin nodded his head kind of ignoring what Alan had said. Alan looked foward, “We should go to one, there’s a great group called TGTF playing tomorrow at the stadium.” Justin just shook his head, he cared about his masculinity, and being seen at a girly Kpop show would definitely make him question himself, but he looked over at his brother, he could tell Alan was disappointed that he didn’t take interest in his interests. Justin sighed, “Fine dude, I’m down to go.” Alan’s eyes lit up as he opened his phone to purchase tickets.

        It was the next day, Justin sighed as he already regretted agreeing to go. He was surrounded by screaming teenagers, all were loud and and dressed obnoxiously. “You actually associate yourself with these people?” He said rudely to Alan. Nothing Justin said could’ve made Alan said, he was about to see his favorite group in the world, live, although he wished Justin had as much enthusiasm as him. 

        What was only a hour and a half of opening acts seemed like an eternity for Justin. Not only did he not understand or like any of the music, but the piercing screams for the teenage girls behind him was going to make him deaf by the end of the show. It was intermission before the main act was set to come on, Justin would do anything to get out of there without disappointing his brother. “Alan do you mind if I wait for you in the car? I hate this.” He said bluntly. Alan’s face fell, he thought taking his brother to a show would surely make him a Kpop fan. “Fine” was all Alan said. Just as Justin turned to head out, a finger tapped him on the back. Justin turned around to see a cute looking Asian girl, she held a pink pill in her hand. “Take this cutie, you’ll like it better.” She giggled as she dropped the pill in his hand and disappeared into the crowd. Justin looked around, he knew not to take pills from strangers in concert audiences, but he was desperate, and didn’t want to disappoint his brother. Justin had done molly before at a concert, the pill looked exactly the same, so he popped it into his mouth and found his brother.

      It wasn’t long before the main act TGTF came on. The group consisted of 4 cute Korean girls, all were wearing cute skirts and tops. Alan nudged his brother, “Hot right?” He said. Justin looked down at him and nodded his head, there was something about the girls Justin REALLY liked, he almost felt entranced by the idols. As each song passed Justin found himself enjoying the music more and more, and even by the last song he was jumping up and down dancing. Alan couldn’t help but smile as he saw how much fun his brother was having.

      As the pair of brothers climbed into the car to head home, Alan put on the piece of merch he got. “Wow you’re totally right that was amazing!!” Justin practically screamed. Alan was taken aback by his enthusiasm, he never had seen Justin this excited. Alan chuckled, “I know right, that Irene girl is truly something special.” What Alan said rang through his head, those girls really were special.
