The Bet (Part 2)

The next day Trevor and his girlfriend Molly walked through the mall. The two met last year and had a semi serious relationship, Trevor had explained the bet to Molly a few days ago and she suggested they go buy him a vacuum cleaner. Trevor thought it was a good idea, but he hated going to the mall with Molly, she always made him stop in women's clothing stores where she would look at clothes for 30 minutes but not buy anything. Trevor had already purchased the $40 vacuum cleaner and was trying to get Molly towards the exit, but as they were walking out, she noticed a salon, “Oooh lets go get our hair done!” She grabbed his hand as Trevor rolled his eyes. As he walked into the salon he noticed how nice and clean everything was. Recently he couldn’t stand dirty places, and the mall was definitely dirty. As he settled in the chair next to Molly to watch her get her hair done, he gazed around the salon. It was spotless, he had to get his room to this level he thought. Molly had started a conversation with the stylist about hair colors but was quickly interrupted by Trevor asking the women about their cleaning routine. The stylist was a little weirded out at first but the conversation quickly turned into giving Trevor ideas on how to beat his roommate. His mind raced as he became more motivated to beat Alan. As they kept talking, he looked closer at the stylist, her face was perfectly doused in makeup, her floral blouse and pink skinny jeans perfectly fit her. He looked down at her feet, which were snuggled in a pair of wedges, her smooth toes were painted red. Trevor had never been in such awe before… he realized something… that she was so… clean.

Alan had been watching TV now more than ever. The Home Channel simply had him hooked. He was especially a big fan of a reality show called Flipping, where contestants had 2 weeks to flip a house the best they could. Alan found himself taking less interest in the flipping projects, but more interest in the drama on the show. The grand prize on the show was $100,000, so stakes were high, which created for some entertaining television. Alan couldn’t get enough of it, the straight A student hadn’t picked up a book in a couple of weeks as he was too busy binge watching to study. When the finale of the show finally ended, Alan craved more and more drama. With no other reality shows on The Home Channel he found himself watching MTV for the first time. Alan was pleasantly surprised to find that not only did he enjoy the shows, he was addicted to them.

There was only 1 day left until the boys had to decide who won the bet, Trevor walked into the house after a long day in class, he couldn’t wait to get into some comfier clothes. Up until recently, he usually just wore a tshirt and  basketball shorts or sweatpants to school, but he realized the nicer clothes he had on, the cleaner he looked. Today he had on a nice dress shirt that Molly picked out for him, he paired it with some skinny jeans and dress shoes. It felt great looking his best, and he would do anything to help him win the bet. Trevor changed into a pair of sweatpants and began making himself dinner, as he looked through the fridge, he heard the door shut behind him. He turned to see Alan behind him, Trevor was surprised, Alan looked different. His skin was tanner and his hair was longer, his skin didn’t have as much acne and he was actually wearing something other than sweatpants. He did a flight attendant smile at Trevor, “Sooo I win right?” He chuckled and put his hand on his hips. Trevor looked at him again, “What the hell happened to you dude?” He asked him. Alan let out a little giggle, “Oh Trev, I’m just making myself cleaner!” Trevor thought he had been taking it too far, but looking at Jersey Shore Alan was something different, and he had to admit, Alan did look a lot better. It kind of lit a flame in Trevor, he knew he could look better than Alan.

A week passed, the boys seemed to have forgotten about their original bet, and were now perplexed on a new unspoken bet on who could outdo the other when it came to how good they looked. Trevor found himself spending time at the salon in the mall more than not. Starting with male beauty tips quickly turned into makeup and hair tips, which Trevor started listening to. The next day Molly saw her boyfriend had a medium amount of foundation on his face, “Everything okay Trev?” She asked a little concerned. Trevor smiled sweetly, “Yeah girl never better!” He said rubbing her arm friendly. Trevor was definitely different ever since he took this bet with Alan, his entire demeanor had changed. Looking at him, if Molly hadn’t had known him she would 100% think he was gay. Molly shrugged it off, she was planning to break up with Trevor anyways.

A month later, Trevor sat in the back of class with his legs crossed chomping on a piece of gum. He didn’t remember what class it was, he usually used this time to watch makeup tutorials on Youtube. He only really went to class these days to show off his new outfits and hairstyle. His hair had been growing like a weed, and he loved to style it. Since it was getting so long he decided to dye it blonde. Everyone told him how cute it looked, and he knew how much that made Alan jealous. He too was trying to grow it out but it didn’t look near as cute as Trevor’s. As Trevor sat in class and pondered his future, he honestly hated all the school stuff, fashion and beauty was his passion. As he walked to the tuition office to formally drop out, he couldn’t but help and grin at how much of an advantage this would give him against Alan in their little competition.

Little did Trevor know, Alan was already moving out his stuff and back home to his parent’s. Since he was in the honors program, it only took him a semester of watching endless reality shows to flunk out.

When both boys announced they were dropping out of college to their parents, their reaction was expected. Needing only 1 semester to graduate, it just didn’t make any sense to them, but they noticed something was off about their boys. They didn’t seem normal, they seemed so… flamboyant. Trevor’s mom noticed him wearing a pair of white skinny jeans, which was way off from his usual basketball shorts, and Alan’s dad was also surprised by the fact that Alan’s greasy short hair was now looked like a healthy head of hair that covered his neck. With their parents concerned about their son’s sudden changes, ultimately they were okay with them taking some time off.

However both sets of parents watch their son’s change drastically in front of their eyes. Trevor suddenly had become obsessed with cheerleading since he’d been home, he saw a competition on TV and was hooked ever since. He LOVED how pretty and proper the girls looked… he had to be that pretty… to beat Alan. His parents made him go to therapy but to no avail, one day they realized they had lost their son to some sort of addiction, and gave into his wishes. Trevor started hormones and scheduled surgeries the next day.

It was a similar story for Alan and his parents. Although instead of caving into their son’s new girly needs, they kicked him out. Alan moved in with his Aunt who was an ex stripper and recovering cocaine addict. Alan thought she was cool though, and she liked to watch reality shows. As Alan scrolled through Instagram while watching the Bachelor, he saw a very hot mirror selfie but from none other than Trevor himself, although it didn’t look like Trevor at all, in the picture was a short blonde girl with plump little breasts in a pink shoulderless top. Alan squeezed his phone in anger, Trevor was beautiful, so Alan had to be too.

It had been a year since the bet had been placed. It was Homecoming week at Highlands High School, and Junior Tiffany Jackson jumped up and down and waved her Pom Poms in the air. The homecoming queen nominee had quickly moved up the ranks and was already the head cheerleader for Highlands High School. Trevor who once was a 23 year old man was now living full time as a 16 year old teenage dream. Her new breasts bounced up and down in her tight cheer uniform as she performed for the crowd. She giggled as she noticed most of the boys and dads in the crowd were moving back and forth between watching the game and staring at her. She raised a pom pom in the air and yelled, “Yay baby!” As she saw her boyfriend, Senior Quarterback Brandon Stevens throw another touchdown pass. With her new stunning looks, it didn’t take long for Tiffany to become the popular girl at Highlands High School, it had only taken her a week to start going out with Brandon, who he already had fallen deeply in love with. As a guy she had relationships, but she never felt so connected to someone as much as Brandon, she knew he was the one and couldn’t wait to raise a family with him.
