The Bet (Part 1)

I hope you guys like! I tried to do a more long and drawn out cap like some of you suggested, I kinda wanted to keep going but I ran out of time haha. I know it's probs not the best slow progression TG you've ever read but I hope you still like it :)

Trevor Jackson slammed his head into his keyboard. He was insanely frustrated at his Calculus homework. He just didn’t understand anything, and he HAD to pass the class in order to graduate next month. The Economics major was just one semester away from getting away from all the bullshit that came with college, especially his roommate Alan. Alan wasn’t the worst roommate in the world, but him and Trevor definitely didn’t see eye to eye. The two were decent friends in High School, but as roommates they were enemies. Alan was at Highlands University to study and study only, whereas Trevor went for the whole college experience, so Alan was never too thrilled when Trevor he’d small parties at their place and Trevor was never too thrilled when Alan would make Trevor turn down his music at 8 o clock every night.

Alan finally arrived home from his last class, he smirked at Trevor as he saw him sprawled over his keyboard. “Having some issues huh?” He chuckled. Trevor wasn’t having it, he had to be in the right mood to talk to Alan, “Fuck off dude mind your business.” Trevor shot back. Alan, who was trying to be friendly, immediately turned salty, “You’re such a dick, and a terrible roommate, why don’t you help me clean up around here?” Trevor shot Alan a death stare and stood up from his chair, towering over the scrawny pale nerd, “You are just as much as a slob as me!” He yelled back. shouting back and forth continued for several more minutes this interaction was the result of months of built up and hidden anger, “Fine! If you are such a perfect roommate, then why don’t we have a competition?” Trevor rolled his eyes at Alan, who continued, “If you are cleaner than me this month you can play your music all night, if I’m cleaner than you, no more having people over… ever.” Trevor gave Allen another death stare, but he liked the terms to the bet, Trevor knew that Allen thought he was better than him, Trevor wanted to shut him up, and besides, he knew he could be clean if he wanted to. “You’re on.” He said shaking Allen’s hand.

Both boys immediately got down to business, and by the end of the day, both of their rooms were looking brand new. Trevor had to admit, it felt really good to finally be able to walk around in his room without stepping on any dirty clothes or crumbs. Alan was the same way, he never cleaned his room because he was always nose deep in classwork, but now that he did, it felt great to have a clean room. Alan looked at the spotless room and grinned, he sat down on the couch to enjoy some TV to reward himself for his hard work. He mindlessly flipped through the channels realizing nothing was on daytime TV. He stopped on The Home Channel, the show was about flipping houses, and the host was giving tips on more efficient ways to clean around the house, Allen knew for a fact he could use this to beat Trevor.

The following days saw the boys take the bet farther than either had expected, their house was now clean enough to be a model home. Trevor cancelled plans with his girlfriend to clean his bathroom while Alan had been candle shopping so his room could smell the best. Both guys had never been as motivated to win something before, but there was just something about wanting to be better than the other.  When Trevor saw Allen carry in a bag of candles, he couldn’t help but to give him props, he was going to have to step up his game, it was evident that both guys would do ANYTHING to win...
