Patreon Rewards and Future Updates

Hello everyone!

Ok, i got a lot to talk about this time and i have been struggling for a bit to come with the actual words to type this. I am a bit  of an anxious person and i am always second guessing what i do all the time. So bear with me for a second while i try  to be more concise.

Ok,  i am really gonna need to make some changes to my patreon rewards in the future. At this moments i have ran into some big troubles on my end by allowing  several liberties to the requests that end up snowballing on me and makes things more difficult.

Basically i have allowed people to stockpile on requests for months and come back to me several months later with a huge  queue of pictures to work on to catch up. I have also allowed people to fuse requests into larger ones that end up becoming very complicated commission pieces on their own weight that in turn consume way more time.

Originally the patreon rewards were meant to be able to be delivered while i can still work on the comic and other projects but i allowed the situation with the queue to hinder this and consume most of my time.

Things got worse when i took my first vacations in years and while i really needed the rest it also became more belated on the queue. Plus more people came to me with more than 5 belated requests to add.

I know a couple of you may have gotten annoyed with me at the delays and i apologize for that. I just give priority to the people with the largest queues.

So... what am i going to do? Well, i am catching up. In the last three weeks i had a total of 18 patreon requests with several of them being from the same people. At my current pace, i should be done with the queue this week. Don't worry, i am gonna deliver on ALL of them. But i will just give a notice for the future. Starting in January of 2018, patreon requests will have an expiration date of a month. I cannot afford people stockpiling requests and then asking for them all in one go anymore. As long as everyone just asks for their rewards in time it should be no trouble. So just try to catch up with your requests for the rest of the year if you are missing some. I might do a revamp of my Patreon in the next year, but i still got to think on the logistics and realistic goalposts.

Also, i want to give emphasis on the note spam. There is no need to send more than one note over a request with changes. Do take your time to think what you want and decide on one final IM to send me with the full request.

If you are up to date with your requests this does not affect you at all. I just want to be able to work on more stuff than just rewards week after week with no end in sight  like i have done in the past months. Specially since at every moment i feel like i did a lot of progress on it, someone arrives with a new batch of belated requests. It is a bit demoralizing. At the moment i need to do 3 pages of the bonus comic content i have not been able to even start.

I also want to have more time to be able to produce and post more content here. I will ask every of you that read this to take this post to give suggestions on what you would like to see. I know i am the most proactive of persons but i do want to be able to interact more with you all. Character bios, lore of places or backstory. Anything goes, just feel free to suggest.

Also, as i asked in the last update page here on Patreon, you can now send me your reward requests for September. I wasn't able to finish the request list queue as i wanted but i managed to reduce it  by a lot and i think i can be done very soon.

Thanks for the support everyone! Thanks for being understanding.

I had honestly been operating on the premise that the requests do expire if you fail to submit them (even though I knew it wasn’t like that). I just hear how busy you are and feel guilty and don’t submit a request to add to your workload. I don’t feel that you owe anything to me.

Ask for your requests anyways, as long as everyone is on time the overflow should be no issue.

I've seen some of your mentioning being overworked, so I want to let you know that I haven't made any requests after the first not to let them build up, but to but because I didn't want to add to your workload.
