Collaboration Offer

Hey All

I've been approached now by multiple people, including a couple of patrons, as to whether one of the three stories a month can essentially be a slot that someone can buy and choose the theme/plot for. I've had one particular offer I want to raise here, but I'll come to that at the end. But first, context:

When I launched the Patreon, there were several reasons why I didn't want to just offer what is essentially a commission slot each month.

1) It means I have less control over the variety of content I produce
2) Working out the way I would do this transparently through tiers is difficult without just having 1 slot for the person who buys it, which feels unfair to other patrons who may want the opportunity but would never have it
3) It places additional stress on workload
4) When I first started, I thought I'd be reliant on that person for what would be a significant proportion of my income. It would be less of an issue now, but I can also see how it could put you off (and thus potentially lose me your valuable support) if you feel it's not the content you from me.

However, I can also see a variety of positives depending on the way I go about it:

1) I can charge an upfront fee separately to Patreons systems (though this hits the transparency problems above)
2) It's still my content three times a month, but I earn substantially more per story on average.
3) It allows for potential collaboration with others who have an idea for a longer term project, something I've wanted to do but have thus far put to one side while I organise everything else.
4) It might give some of you the opportunity to experience a more personalised story, which I'd also hope would increase Patron retention.

I've been in shock at the response to this Patreon and I'm still amazed how far you guys have already taken me already. My current setup is comfortable and I'm very happy with my current workload and ability to produce all the content I've promised. But with that response has come this clear desire from many people to get more personalised content at a premium.

Now, onto the specific opportunity mentioned at the start. The owner of the TykesinTies/RegressCo Universe (https://twitter.com/TykesInTies) has asked for one story a month to based on ideas within that universe.

Because my stories will commonly have the theme of regression, and RegressCo is a very broad universe with a lot of opportunity for ideas and plots, the main impact I can see this in specific having is the company and universe will receive several references within the plots of one story a week. Otherwise, the overall nature of the stories would not change. I'd still be regularly producing kinkier content in other weeks as well. It's also substantially less personalised than a normal "commission" would be, it's far more of a collaboration or partnership.

To be clear, this would not be the additional story for $10 a month patrons, that I want to keep within my control, not least because I also want those of you who subscribe at that tier to feel you're getting something from me specifically, not another source.

With all that said, I wouldn't be in this position without you. You've all been so kind, generous and supportive. As such, I could not in good faith make this decision without your input.
