As some of you had heard, the host I had had for many years is closing it's doors. SO, I had to put aside some time to update and migrate Canvas Swap Zine and WildElement Studios over to a new service.
I did a LOT of research and data crunching. In the end, I ended up going with a service I didn't even initially crunch numbers for. X'D I don't need traditional hosting so I've saved some money and stress going with a site builder service, Carrd, regardless of my ability to code my own (it's time consuming ya'll!) I was able to update Canvas Swap Zine's site and transfer it in a single day, with WildElement Studios taking a couple. Much simpler, easily updated and no fiddling with WordPress. If in the future I get tasked with building WordPress (or non) sites for clients, I'll go back to traditional hosting to accommodate that, but for now, I'm not hard pressed to have traditional hosting solutions.
WES also looks much more in line with my branding which is really nice to have now. :3
