implementing swing and groove in dancemusic
Added 2025-09-02 16:04:05 +0000 UTCswing or groove in dance music is imperative in genres like house, garage, dubstep, jungle and dnb. in the age of working in a DAW where everything adheres to a grid by default you are not exactly stimulated to put things off grid, so people don't practise it as much, which makes them miss out on a whole world of lively rhythm. hopefully this video demystifies how you can put stuff off grid without making it sound bad, so that you can hear how your favourite musician go about it and how you can implement groove or swing yourself
p.s. also apologies that this upload is a day late, i was finishing off my new EP, and i've got something else in store for all the producers later this month >:D
