my rules of making basslines

these are the rules I tend to fall back on when making basslines. you can always be more creative, make more crazy sounds, have weirder sounddesign, use different effects, but these techniques are methods I always fall back on, no matter the sound.

in this video i talk a lot about my reasoning, why i make certain choices, and give practical examples. this video is suitable for beginners just as much as advanced producers.

if you have any questions or if you are looking to substitute certain plugins for alternatives then hit me up on discord

thank you for watching and i hope you learned something

How do you set up your hotkeys so that shift + 4, 5 etc can open different effects like saturators, reverbs etc.? I saw command + k for setting up hotkeys for certain things like soloing tracks but can't seem to figure out how to set up a hotkey to directly open a plugin on the current selected track.
