IBM is one of the biggest examples of changing technologies. They originally made mechanical computers. Then they transitioned to digital computers. Then they went to desktop computers, still making mainframes. Then they made their biggest change and became a solutions provider which is less about hardware and more about business analysis and project management. They are now big in AI but that is kind of an extension of being a solutions provider.
