Terrorism (of all sorts) occurs when people feel they have no other recourse. But I would distinguish between those who commit crimes out of powerless desperation vs. those who are simply impatient. That is to say, polls show that a majority of Americans accept the reality of climate change and want to see action to switch to renewables, but if you don't vote, you get exactly the government you deserve!

https://vancouversun.com/news/local-news/the-tyre-extinguishers-threaten-vancouver-suvs-after-mass-deflation-in-victoria-over-the-weekend Sorry. I got the name of the group wrong above. Clever name, but dubious environmental benefit.

There's a group operating in Victoria, BC, Canada (and threatening to go country-wide) calling themselves the Tyre fighters who are deflating the tires of random SUVs as a protest against the extra pollution those things create. The story in our local paper in Vancouver didn't say if they refrained from targeting Tesla Y and X models since those are also SUVs but are zero pollution generators. What do folks think about this tactic? I'm not sure it is a great idea. Sounds dangerous for the kids doing that and tends to validate the "eco-terrorists" narrative.
