Most of the shares are held by insiders and institutional investors. Shareholder meetings are more for publicity to try to talk the share price up. I've consistently voted against management with the few shares in trans-national companies I have. I makes no difference. What's needed is a return to government regulations like were in place before the proto-Trump, Ronald Reagan became POTUS. Yes, regulations can be overdone and counter-productive, but the countries doing best on the environment and on general prosperity and minimal homelessness are those with robust, evidence-based regulation of corporate activity.
