Most tire shops (Belle Tire in N. Midwest) will store tires at a cost (low) and can mount onto vehicle each season. I don't know on the east coast. There has to be some sort of tire shop to store them for ya'll.

Here in the north of Norway, almost everybody drives with spiked winter tires, because of the ice and snow conditions we face here. All year tires work to some degree if your car is heavy and you drive slow, but on ice I would not recommend it. Asymmetric means that the pattern is different at the in- and outside of the tread. My guess is that this will make the tire a little more versatile and handle some different conditions better. Have a great New Year!
