This is a piece I have been working on for quite sometime with my collaborator Liliana Velasquez. Eventually it made it into our full length theatre show a Pussy Powered Protest. I guess you can see why it fits there.
While we both mostly make work in the world of comedy, we also both have a passion for being provocative, and for experimentation, theatre and activism.
This piece combines these elements, creating something surreal but powerful, with a strong political aspect.
This was an earlier iteration filmed at 'Stand Up Tragedy' (like stand up comedy, except sad) in a really nice cabaret bar called Lovelight. In a way it is still undergoing transformation, as we respond to the current political climate. What do you think?
