Days Gone Ultra Plus

I had a chance to play Days Gone for the first time. I realise there is already a popular Engine.ini mod for this game, but unfortunately most Unreal Engine commands don't work in this game due to Bend heavily modding the engine.
I've fixed several problems but most notably some annoying hitching due to incorrect frame timings, a typo in Bend's UE texture sharpening commands (causing them to not work at all), and restoring the mesh polygons from 40% quality back up to 100% quality.
And many of my OCD little tweaks I've mentioned in the mod 😂
I'm very happy with how the game is playing but excited to hear any feedback, good or bad 😊. This seems like a really cool game and is totally freaking me out but I can't put it down 😂

yes I wasn't sure about this game but I'm really enjoying it, it's well thought out and has good stories! I think another modder is working on an HD texture pack and it looking really nice

2024-10-16 11:44:11 +0000 UTCwow i remember playing around with those engine.ini file mods some year ago when i discovered this game and trying to see if it actually made a real difference, it's an interesting game, usually not a fan of zombie stuff but i like this one... also one of the few games i can actually enjoy playing with controller without giving up and turning to mouse&kb after a few minutes
