Cockpit sounds in 1.33 are broken, as in no sounds at all. ext sounds are fine plus air condition. But turning on ext pwr and battery no sounds, same with switches nothing. After going back to 1.31a for the 777F, the sounds are indeed broken in .33 as it works just fine in .31a

Followed instructions for 200LR GE sound pack and triple checked. It's a different process to the 300ER. Still have default pmdg sounds. It doesn't mention to delete the sound.xml in the layout text file like it used to in the 300ER instructions. Not sure if I'm missing anything here?

Really like this soundpack overall! However, the new GPWS callouts are extremely muffled and hard to hear. As a blind sim pilot I heavily rely on these callouts to land my aircraft safely, please restore them back to their defaults. Thanks!

I think it's a bit too quiet in general, also, engine sounds starting to fade out too quickly after take off, this should be happening at 18000ft+... I also agree with the others here, that it could need more growl sound. IDLE, low N1 and start up sounds are spot on tho!!

I agree with Wolfgang below- something is definitely different on the F... However it sounds great to me at low altitudes. Seems like too much of the engine whine at cruise altitude maybe? It is very obvious and you can hear even the most minor power adjustments at cruise in the cockpit with hearing the high pitch so loud.

Somehow, after I shutdown the engines after parking, the engines sounds are still there. If I advance the thrust levers (with the fuel cut off), there will be engine noises. Any idea what that is?

Hey, great Job so far. but on the 777 PW 1.03 and the latest GE there ist a very bad whisteling on decend on low speed, between 240 kts -150 kts. One more hint, when i turn off the Aircraft misscellaneos in Sound Settings, then the whisteling is gone. Can u maybe check and Fix that? Greetings

Honest Review : Sounds are more like a CFM Leap or RR Trent, mostly quiet while flying. I'd say only 50% out of 100% of details for this Soundpack.

Really? I find that the engines are drowned out by the wind. Especially during descent and approach. Also, if you use cabin views aft of the wings, you can hear the engine howl constantly when you should not hear it behind the wings.

While I'm happy to hear the loud, low rpm spool up upon engine start which was missing in the previous version, this version has the engines drowned out by the wind noise when at idle (descent). The engine howl can also be heard within the cabin, BEHIND the wings and is extremely loud and jarring. How do I fix these issues?

1.28 is much better but the engine fan sound should be less loud or inaudible at high altitude. It can get a bit irritating like what’s in 1.28 during cruise.

1.28 is much better than 1.27, but indeed engine sound should not be audible in the inside above a certain altitude. Edit: to be fair, you can hear the humming with the default pmdg sounds as well. Not sure how realistic that is tbh.

Thanks for your continuous support and updates. IRL The engine sounds are barely noticeable above 10000ft in the flight deck. Even at max thrust at cruising level you would not hear the engines whatsoever.

In 1.28 the engine sound lacks a higher pitch when N1 is exceeding 100, there’s no pitch difference between approx 98.4 and 107.

In 1.28. The engine hum sound is audible in higher climb and cruise when you really shouldn't be hearing it. Also in the front portion of the cabin, there is in inserted wind noise which sounds some what out of place. Much better than 1.27 though.

just copy the sound folder into community(do not paste the file into the pmdg folder). once you have done that, go to the pmdg-77w folder and open up the layout.json in notepad, afterwards, search for the sound.xml portion(just follow the instructions on this part) and delete that and save.

Not understanding the instructions for when its in the community folder. Step A B and C are about deleting the sound.xml line from the .json, but there's no information about what do to with the actual sound files. (I purchased directly from PMDG, so its in my community folder). "if “pmdg-aircraft-77w” is installed inside the "Community" folder then ; A)- Open the Aircraft “layout.json” file with NotePad (found inside ”pmdg-aircraft-77w“) B)- Look for “sound/sound.xml” C)- Delete this Parameter shown below then save ( "size" & "date" can be different !! ) { "path": "SimObjects/Airplanes/PMDG 777-300ER/sound/sound.xml", "size": 102880, "date": 133637400000000000 }, Delete >> You need to re-do this step (2) again after a new aircraft update !!" Edit: I tried pasting the B773_Sp(GE)(PMDG) folder into my Community folder, and then followed these instructions and there was no change in sound. So then I tried pasting the contents INSIDE of B773_Sp(GE)(PMDG) into my PMDG 777 community folder and now my 777 no longer shows up in the aircraft selection menu? Can I please get a little bit more details on what to do when having a direct install from PMDG that goes into my Community folder (with MSFS)?

Tried the 1.27 update and for feedback: 1. I will say that the Flaps sound are too loud. There is no "spool" sound when the thrust is below about 50%. The engine sound stays idle.

First problem: when you activate the packs, no sound is played in the cockpit or cabin. Second problem: the wind noise in the cabin doesn't sound like the real 777, it sounds like the 737's fuel pump. The engines sound more like a 787 than a 777. Please correct this

An interesting finding for the PMDG version: the bassy external startup sound is actually there, but only plays if you switch to outside view after the bass has arrived in the inside. If you go outside from the beginning of the engine start, it will not play nomatter what you do. Other than that,loving the sounds, thanks!

Much of an upgrade, however could you increase the outside engine sounds? they seem too quiet and the startup seems too quiet as well. On the startup and exterior engine sounds, I prefer PMDGs. However for the spoolup, FTSim did a great job. Also increasing the buzzaw after rotation would make it more realistic as well.. Currently using the v1.26v2

Installed just for the engine sounds and sounds great. Had no external sounds at the beggining but I had the "Other Aircraft" sound slider on zero. Moved it to 40 and have sound now! Hope you can check the engine start from the exterior, seems a little off from the GE90-115B, and if possible, move the external sounds to other source in the mixer, as it is assigned to "Other Aircraft" and can be bothering when you have extremely noisy AI planes.

Here are my two first impressions. While there are many things to fix which I'm sure you're working on, the first two I'd point out are that the APU sounds appear to emanate more from the middle of the aircraft rather than the back. Also I guess this is not your issue but if you install a new livery after modifying the json, it will revert back the sound.xml line and the original PMDG sounds will come through. I found this out the hard way lol.

Just updated from 1.22 to the latest version and noticed that there are two heavy bass startup sequences per engine now while before it was only once. Compared to before, after the normal startup sound ends, it repeats again for a brief moment. Can you look into this?

Hi, thanks for the mod, but sorry after I installed 1.25 which is the latest version, I still have the 'no sound on approach' issue. This problem often happens when the aircraft is under 10000 feet and the sound just suddenly disappears, meanwhile the aircraft will stuck in the sky so that I have to go to the pause menu and go back in order to let the plane keep flying but there is no sound at this moment.

but it worked for me for the captain sim 777-200 and the 747-8 all fine except the 777-300 it disappeared when i do so.BTW i didnt modify the layout file only copied the directory you provided and renamed the sound folder.all good and amazing work btw and hope to see more for the cessna citation and others :) keep up the excellent job

All the Aircraft Addons from the "marketplace" have an extra layer of protection , so it is a bit harder or impossible to add new Mods for it .

i just uninstalled it and bought the standalone version from captiansim website and it works, its strange that captainsim 777-200 market version works but not for the 777-300 only the standalone one.

Any further updates planned? I think the engine sounds are still too muted and the wind noises drown them out. Could the engine be made louder and the wind noise quieter? Maybe you could compare with the PMDG sound to get a better idea.

Hey, I was wondering if there is a way to increase the volume of the engines from the exterior? Currently it sounds quieter outside than inside the cockpit and I have other aircraft (exterior volume) maxed. Is there a way I can do this myself or do I have to wait for an update.

V1.21 sounds much better than the latest version. For some reason you don't get the nice spoolup sound anymore it doesn't sound as good.

Yeah other aircraft like the A32NX and the A330Neo are plenty loud, I switched back to 1.2 as that version is much louder and still has the heavy bass on engine startup

I'm suffering from a similar issue, the new exterior sounds are way quieter than the previous ones on my end, the cockpit noises are the same but the exterior sounds much quieter than the interior

For some reason my 777-300er sound pack stoped working itself and now it´s impossible to install it back... any suggestion or help please? I got the 777-3er from Captain Sim... Hey, I installed the pckage inside the community folder and renamed the sound folder. But when I drag and drop the json file it does not do anything, the generator just closes. Bought 773 in SimMarket, tried in many ways: Put folder in"Community", then renamed "sound" in plane's folder - didn't work. Replaced "SimObjects" and dragged layout onto "Layoutgenerator" - didn't work. Replaced "SimObjects", but also replaced layout file by the same from mod - didn't work

the "layout.json" file is like a "Register" for all the files inside the aircraft folder , if you add a new file then you need add it also to the "Register" which is the "layout.json" . >> So Nothing will affect the sounds or the Aircraft configurations

What is the preferable order of installation if I use CS772 + Model-fix mod + your sound package? The Model-fix mod and your package both require to drag and drop the "layout.json" file to the "MSFSLayoutGenerator.exe". Does this affect either installation?

the B777 combustion sound sample is recorded from a farther position than the B737 one ( Big Scary engine ) that is why it has some missing Low Frequency rumble , but will make a few editing to improve that

yes , more boomy with enhanced 150hz below frequencies. Your 737 Max soundset for MSFS has that effect.

Please change the install structure, i had to improvise by pasting the folder inside the captain sim aircraft folder and changing texts of manifest and layout to direct it to the correct path.

Okay so I think figured it out. The "\\HLM_Packages\Official\" is the "\\Flight simulator\Official\OneStore\" and then whatever the "official" folder is for steam version. Basically copy paste the "captainsim-aircraft-m772" thats in the "community" folder into the "official" folder. It should work after that. Not sure why its not explained as one of the main major steps to make it work rather than a side note. Its the first time I've had to ever put something in the "official" folder rather than just the community folder. Great sounds! I just recommend instructions be a bit more clear. :)
