Wheres the love for the B737? Any chance we could see an update soon with better sound fade possibly at lower altitudes. I believe the rush of wind kicks in fairly quickly and can be heard rapidly after takeoff in the cockpit. Would also be interested in the increased air pressure sound the engines make when increased slightly. Not sure if its possible.

I completely agree. I am using 1.12 and its near perfect in all aspects, I like this low humming sound coming from the engines which is exactly what you hear in the 737 IRL. But the buzz saw above FL200 is too loud, drowns it out and actually gets to you during longer flights. I used to play around with sound.cfgs in FSX/P3D days and usually worked around this by letting such sounds fade away in the typical N1 cruise ranges (77 to 87% roughly) but with MSFS we have the ability to fade it out with altitude...

Hey Guys, thanks for all the great work. V1.13 is really nice in many aspects, but I belive that buzz saw sound needs to fade out much more while climbing. I mean I just clearly hear it while climbing through FL200 , FL300...that´s rather off I gues. If you could chnage that...would be awesome,, thanks !

The startup sound is so outdated. and after taking engine cutoff thing up, the engine start speeds so fast up. it should go at one speed the whole startup! and the fuel pump sound isn’t so realistic. fuel hyd cant be heard inside

Well, I got the plane to load but I hear no sounds. I am runnning it from the PMDG store. What lines do I need to delete/modify to work? All of the paths seem to be correct in the json and all point to the relevant files, so not sure what I'm doing wrong here.

It would be helpful if you could update your instructions to include the text of the lines to delete; I'm a blind simmer and it's hard to OCR the images you have in it.

Sounds are a good improvement, however the installation is different and now I have pink textures everywhere after installing v1.13.. in the entire lineup. (737-800 and -600 have pink cockpit seats and the -700 has the entire cockpit pink with missing textures).

Best version so far in the cockpit. However the unique 737 cabin sound could be a bit more prominent and stronger. Ive tried only the -700 so far on 1.12, but I have to say this is the best version to date. From the flightdeck the sounds are very good, improving on pretty much all areas that were weak in the previous versions, and a definate improvement over the default. However, installation instructions are very unclear for those who are upgrading from a previous version.

Soundset was working this morning on the 800. I loaded into the 800 BCF, which I assume would use the 800's sound. For whatever reason the layout.JSON was restored to PMDG and I have PMDG's soundset. Any idea why this happened?

Hi FTSim, the buzzsaw at 99% N1 or greater is amazing, but it really should come in much earlier as in the real aircraft (85%ish) and increase in vibration all the way to full throttle. Similarly the whine needs to come in much earlier, especially during taxi, at 35% N1 rather than late at 45% N1. This would make the soundpack perfect. Thank you for your efforts!

Im going back to v1.09, this update is a step in the wrong direction. The cruise sounds are worse, the low n1 "hum" is much too loud in the air, and it still suffers from the inaccuracies that v1.09 had. With a few minor corrections this soundset could be really good, its a shame the developer is not responsive.

Update seems good! But still, even in this update, the low N1 whine/spool sounds that are prominent in the NG IRL could be wayyyy louder. This is pretty much all this soundpack is missing. The N1 engine whine sound doesn't actually become audible until 55+ % N1 in the sim... IRL you're looking at more 30-40% N1 the whine starts to become prominent. Could you possibly look at updating this?

Good volume curves overall but needs a few tweaks. The jetwhine should come in around 35-40% n1, it comes in too late in this version. The buzzsaw sound should also come in at a lower n1. On the ground, the pmdg soundset is just right below 50% n1. Also the -800 and -900 are a bit loud at idle and during start.

nice version, everyday the plane sound more like the real life version. Just a few suggestions - Cruise sound was better on the V 1.07, please use the same sound for cruise altitude. - Buzzsaw still doesn't sound realistic, hope you can come up with a better sound for the next version - if you could make the engines in the wing area sound while spooling up and down during the approach the same sound while taxiing, that would be awsome, still sound very quiet on the approach if you're seated in the wing, but, try to keep the Top Of Decent sound as it is (the famous rattle sound from 86 to 45 hz you listen when the real plane begin its descent) ... pretty difficult to do but if you do that, you will have the best soundpack for the 737.

The NG sounds really are coming on significantly - I'm sure we can all agree, can FTSim please implement/work on the low N1 whine/spool sounds that are prominent in the NG IRL. This is pretty much all this soundpack is missing. The iconic whine sound doesn't actually become audible until 50+ % in the sim... IRL you're looking at more 30-35% N1 the whine starts to become prominent.

For some reason the sounds doesnt work for the 737-900:v ive tried everything from using the build.py file to manually edit the layout.json and reinstalled the file and aircraft multiple times and it still doesnt work sadly. whats weird if i edit the layout.json file the aircraft just disappeared from the sim hope you know how to fix this or give me a solution for this it sounds amazing and i've been enjoying it alot, it works on the 737-8 but sadly doesnt work on the 737-900.

I think the mistake is that FTSim+ packed the PMDG 737-800 original sounds.PMDG_738.PC.PCK has the exact same name, size and date than the one you find in the original PMDG 738 sound folder.If you check the other types,they all have different size and more recent date than the original ones.They just have to repack the correct files for the738 to work.Not a big deal.Don't understand the lack of answer.

Not so sure about this update man - by reducing the wind sounds, the engines are far too audible in the climb. When you accelerate, the wind drowns out these engine sounds. I'm at FL310 climbing right now and i can still here that buzz-saw sound quite clearly.

v1.08 the b738 does work, the pck file is named "PMDG_738.PC'' it should be ''PB738_Sp.PC.pck'' and the file is old...

you must find inside the PMDG sound folder those files ( inside : "pmdg-aircraft-738\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 737-800\sound" ) - PMDG_738.PC.pck - PB738_Sp.PC.pck - sound.xml 1/ there is no engine sounds and only the cockpit sounds are working !! 👉 The "Layout.json file is not updated 2/ Aircraft not shown on MSFS Menu 👉 The "Layout.json file is not updated correctly ( could be missing symbols "{' or "}," )

Can anyone please help me with my pmdg 737-800 sounds. The 700 sounds work fine but the 800 sounds are not. I've followed all the instructions. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled the plane but it's still just giving me the default sounds :/ Its showing fine inside the layout. So I have no idea why its not working?

Did an install of all four soundpacks for the 737s, and now only the 739 appears in my plane menu. I double checked the layout file and the text per the install guide is inserted correctly. The only difference I see is that the 736/7/8 all have the same size/date insert text per the install PDF (the same as the insert above with size="144695764"), whereas the 739 PDF has a different set of size/insert text (with size="90244951") Other than that, everything is installed by the book. (Manually, as I don't have a Python install.) These are the base configurations, too, not the engine-only or engine-and-weather configs. I can't see anything that's incorrect in the install, unless those layout inserts for the 6/7/8 shouldn't be the same... Update - I caved in and installed Python, and the scripts fixed the issues. Inserted text in the Python-updated layout files is different than what's in the PDFs, so that might be the issue?

My last trip on the NG I was sitting in that same seat over the wing and it sounded identical to that. how pronounced the sound of the inflow valve opening (that gush of air) is as you spoil up from idle and as you reach 40% it stops and opens again as you go TOGA. One thing I have noticed with the sounds however, they seem to be off compared to what they should be in relation to N1. for example, 55/60% N1 sounds like what 40% should sound like. Maybe I'm wrong but it's something I've noticed

Really liking the last 2 renditions of this man great work! One thing I will add, the inflow valve opening when spooling up from idle (that gushing sound), which is included, good to hear, but it would be nice if it was a little more distinct :)

The sound is faulty. the thrust noise is not audible at 80 percent or more. If you step on the gas, you hear the noise, but then you hear it very quietly To test . msfs2020 sound settings completely off. just turn on the engine sound and then go full throttle and then take off. At some point the sound becomes very quiet. If you correct it, please make the thrust sound more bassy, ​​and also make the root and attack sound more bassy. Thanks.

I don't know why but it does not work for me at all - I have used the Python file and regular install and it does not work. The aircraft dissapears and if the python file cannot install it correctly I don't know what can.

Heyo, thanks for the update! Some very nice improvements once again. At one point however it feels like something is out of the ordinary. When you crank an engine and let it stabilize at around 27% N2, the exterior engine sound just fades out completely and stays dead silent, which makes engine starts not sound very good from an exterior view. I think this is down to the engine start sound just being a fixed file being played back instead of some noise being bound to actual engine parameters. Is there a way for you to add some dynamic noise in those RPM areas? Cheers!

2 steps for installation 1/ Moving files/folders 2/ updating the "Layout.json" configuration file of the PMDG aircraft , it can be done by using 2 ways a) Using the "build.py" file ( very easy ) b) if the first way "a)" didn't work then try updating manually by Pasting few lines inside the "Layout.json" using Notepad

That noise "Rush" is already added , is a bit quieter than the idle sounds and it can be heard Clearly from the Rear engines but not that loud as shown in the video . - will be tweaked so it will sounds only when applying thrust

this video is the best way to hear it. when he gives thrust, a bassy sound is heard. Not a spool sound. he gives boost man hears this bassy sound and when he takes the boost away the bassy sound disappears. I don't know how the sound is called in real life. but not the spool sound. i will show some sound samples. if you can make that sound then you are the best and that will be the realistic sound for 737

I think it's because the readme is wrong .. the download contains the PMDG_738.PC.PCK where as the readme file says to include PB738_Sp.PC.pck so the json file isn't correct.

right, those engines have that very distinctive whoosh airy sound just when applying a little bit of thrust to get the plane moving, then it goes away. I think that is what your are describing.

Very nice work on 1.04. The only thing I wish for is the heavy bassy wooshing sound when thrust is applied quickly (e.g. you hear it a lot when they're giving it thrust during taxi as well as during the initial spool up phase on takeoff.)

Anyone have the issue with pause at TOD when you unpause, the engine sounds don't come back? Had it with default pmdg sounds before and going from the external view back to the interior view fixed it, not with these sounds though??

Yeah love this set - one thing I would say, I think the buzz saw sound should be louder on take off? Seems very quiet?

Okay, Ive installed this mod exactly as described and I cant get it to work. can't hear anything at all. no sound in our out of the cockpit. I tried renaming the original sound file back to just "sound" and naming the new one something else and I get the default sounds just fine but not the mod.

I believe theres a bug were the audio refuses to start up the APU making the apu usless.

really nice, tough not perfect yet. Wind sound is too silent, engine high pitch and buzz saw sounds still audible in high altitudes (should fade out completetly by about 25000-30000ft

Any chance on fixing the start up sound? When using bleed start it is completely silence until up towards the point on selecting fuel switch were fuel is ignited.

I think the soundpack is great overall - better overall and more balanced than default, but I do miss the pronounced humming of the engines at high power on takeoff and climb, especially in the interior wing view right in front of the engine. I think the sweet spot for engine volume would be right between this and the default pmdg sounds.
