"That Pina Colada Song" (Escape!) — Recently Unearthed Demo (1977)

While there are slight differences, the tune and structure are largely untouched—a tribute to Mr. Holmes' masterful storytelling ability. When asked for permission to release this #70smusic gem, his daughter replied, "No." But the interests of history can (and should!) override the wishes of any one particular person, and so we publish this tribute to the great tunes of Mr. Holmes and the #music of the #70s. 😎 Special thanks to Mr. Grant Mooney, who converted the original reels from 2-track to 3-track, which we then aimed an iPhone at.
