For YEARS.
And I think I finally got something worth sharing with you...
JACKED! It's a show about about two corporate douchebags from different sides of the tracks trying to survive the grim future of 2013.
Meet Royce Grayson. He's a scumbag PR guy living in a helicopter, which is the future version of "living in a van down by the river." After a meeting gone bad, he has a chance encounter with...
...Tam Rombley (played by Geoffrey Golden), a wealthy executive at his family's technology firm. He's also a devout practitioner within the "Church of .EXE," which the Rombley's control.
So what brings a homeless PR douche and a coddled corporate prince together? You'll soon find out, in a tale told by...
...Emmy-award nominated writer Joe Starr! (Yes, that's his real name). Joe referee's our foray into the cyberpunk future that hasn't happened...yet.
We're playing the original Cyberpunk RPG, "Cyberpunk 2013," which came out in 1988. It's a game so old, you can't legally buy it -- beat up copies sell for hundreds on eBay.
Cyberpunk 2013 is also a direct prequel to Cyberpunk 2077, the AAA game from CD Projekt Red, who also made "The Witcher" games. It's been delayed three times now, but 4th time's the charm!
Cyberpunk 2013 & Cyberpunk 2077 are so tightly linked that Keanu Reeves' character Johnny Silverhand starred in the 1st Cyberpunk adventure, "Never Fade Away," which ran in 1988. I've been trying to stay super spoiler-free for 2077, so don't tell me anything else!
JACKED! is produced by Alexander Smith, who also produced "The Flop House" podcast's RPG, "Flop Tales." He lovingly layers the show with original music and sound effects. Here's what he looks like:
We're timing the launch of Jacked! with the release of Cyberpunk 2077, so expect the first episode to drop December 10th.
Unless the game gets delayed again! In which case...we will...figure it out.
