what i hate about these discussions about rich people is that it completely hides the value that they usually bring to society. you don't want billionaires? fine! then hand over your phone, car, computer, amazon account, social media, gaming console, ... billionaires didn't get their money from robbing a bank, they built something so useful that a huge number of people give them money for it voluntarily. yes, they sometimes abuse their power and negative externalities suck of course but the idea that we could just 'get rid of' billionaires while sustaining our current standard of living is endlessly naive...
