One of the issues with the lower IQ, less educated populace is, they are easy to manipulate, and more susceptible to things like conspiracy theories etc. I think one of the issues of this is that they are often led to thinking that they are morally correct. That the Republican party is at least the lesser of the two evils if not outright good itself. I think we should hold the leadership of the Republican party responsible, but it's also our duty to figure out how to create a bridge for the general population of Republicans. It's a little like the trope where the bad guy has an advantage on the good guy because the bad guy isn't restricted by morality etc. I get that its not fair, but I think it's the responsibility of every American, and it's part of the cost of living in a democracy, and maybe even just the cost of living in a society. And one side has to be that side at some point, it should be the side that isn't spreading insane lies about minority groups causing all sorts of civil unrest.
