Meta-analysis on shame. If shame occurs where the situation can be corrected simply its helpful (i.e., someone being nasty). When it occurs in situations where something cannot be simply corrected, its harmful.

Speed dating is now often being used to study dating. I would suggest there is some major selection bias in this (who tf goes speed dating these days?) but its a great field way to study dating and romance that will transfer well to real dating. This study found that attractiveness did predict who got the first date but was a miserable predictor of relational success months later.
