Rusty's story

Rusty is one of our greatest fighters. He is the most unlucky dog we've ever had, a dog that went through a lot of health complications, but is now completely healthy and happy.

So, this is how Rusty's story with us began...
Rusty was found as a small puppy by our friend that called us for help. He was hit by a car and left on the streets in the city of Resen. He had a broken leg but a surgery couldn't be done so we put a plaster on his leg. He got vaccinated and we took him to boarding kennels.

The leg healed good and after one month, when he had to be re-vaccinated, he got the highly deadly Parvo virus! We thought that we will have to say goodbye to him soon but he somehow survived the virus and the symptoms were gone after 2 weeks of intensive care at our vets!

Then we took him back to the boarding kennels. And just when we thought that everything is fine now and we can start to look for a home for him, we got a call from the boarding kennels manger... Rusty's eyes suddenly became completely blue and he couldn't see anything! We rushed him to our vets again and they said that the problem with his eyes is a consequence of a blow to the head.

Then we decided to take him to other boarding kennels where he will get special treatment for his eyes. And after a few weeks his sight was back! His eyes were completely fine again.

Then when he grew up a bit we moved him again, to a place with more dogs so he can get socialised and be able to get adopted in a home with other animals.

Rusty is a very friendly and lovely dog, he hasn't ever shown any aggression. He is great with other dogs and we believe that he will be okay with cats too. We think that a home with older children is more suitable for him as he is quite big and very clumsy.

Rusty is vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped, he can travel to anywhere in Europe and the UK. After everything he went through, he deserves a special home where he will be treated as a very loved member of the family.
