This day is to encourages the adoption of a dog in the darker shades. Unfortunately, black dogs are less likely to be adopted for no other reason than their coloring. Regardless of behavior, size, breed, personality, or age, the phenomenon persists.
At the moment we have 12 black dogs that are looking for a home for long time, the biggest part of them were posted many times and no one showed interes in adopting them, even though they are all wonderful dogs.
If you're looking for a new furry member for your family, please consider adopting a black dog. Remember that they are just as loyal, loving and sweet as all other dogs. There isn't a reason to love them less than the other dogs. They really don't deserve to be overlooked and spend their lives in shelters.
