We are starting our #SundayStory serial with our one and only Spide! Read the whole story of Spide with Amos below.. 📖

When we first came to Gostivar, we started feeding the dogs on the streets on the second day and we noticed Spide with one pack in the center of the city. All dogs ran away but Spide stayed, he approached us. We fed him and decided to take him with us. We put him in our shelter in Gostivar and we advertised him for adoption but unfortunately there wasn't any interest in him. 🐺

He was so lovely but like any other Husky he was jumping from everywhere, he was climbing the kennels, no matter how high it was, he was managing to jump from everywhere. Within a month, he jumped the fence/escaped countless times, we ran after him to get him back countless times. In the end we decided that if he doesn't want to stay let him not stay, let him be free if he wants that that much but Spide chose to stay, he didn't run away, he just wanted to stand in front of the shelter, in front of the fence and wait for us. ♥️

But new problems started.. Like a lot other Huskies he hated our neighbour's goats 🐐 and one day he killed one goat. The neighbour was very angry so we had to be very careful to not let him run away for them again. Because we didn't have much control over him and it wasn't very safe for him to stay there, we moved him, we brought him from Gostivar to Skopje. In Skopje, we made a special place for him on our land where he stayed for one to two months. It has been more than half a year since we took him in our care, Spide was with us for 9-10 months.

In the end his current owners contacted us that they fell in love in him when he saw his photos and would want to adopt him. They went through our adoption process, we decided they were suitable adopters for Spide and we took him to them. 🙂

Spide was so lovely, he was a special dog, he had a wonderful character. He didn't argue with anyone, he didn't fight for food, he was never bad with the other dogs, they knew to steal from his food but he didn't have a bad reaction. He adored people, whether he knew them or not he was soo happy when he was seeing a human, he was immediately coming to have cuddles. He wasn't howling, he wasn't barking like the other Huskies, he just was climbing, running away from everywhere like a spider, that is why he got the name Spide, from the famous Spiderman. 🕷️
