Mentoring update!

As some of you may know, over the past few months I have been optimizing my mentoring process to find the most efficient way to be of help while not burdening myself (or my students) with too much work to keep things organised. Huge shout-out to Levn for being of so much help and support in all of this!

What's happening?

The first and most important change is that I will no longer be offering one-on-one mentoring through Patreon. The reward system is simply not flexible enough and as such I have removed the "Illustration Level-Up" reward. Instead, I will be offering illustration level-up commissions.

How will it work?

The level-up commission will cost $200 (this is a flat rate) and payment will be sent directly to my PayPal.  Once payment is received, the student will be invited to a Trello board where they will have a personal thread assigned to them. They may choose to create an illustration of their own or I will provide them with a few illustration prompts to choose from (essentially acting as a commissioner or art director). I will then give in-depth, personal feedback 4 times during the process of the piece, plus one final review. The student will have two months to finish their illustration.

How does this affect current patrons?

Nothing changes in terms of content, however $5 and up patrons will now have dibs on the level-up commission slots. Meaning they will be notified 24 hours before a slot opens and given a chance to claim it (on a first-come-first-serve basis) before anyone else.

Aside from this, my milestone goal (which was $450 previously) will be lowered to $250 to account for the missing Level-Up pledges. I apologize for the confusion this may have caused - Patreon has not yet updated the changes (I assume this will have to wait until the next rotation of payments).

Hope this change works out better. :)

Wohoo

Yes, I will accept 50/50 payment so long as the final payment is made within the two month deadline.

Is it possible to pay by installments?
