I've put a ton of thought into an RPG for this actually. Most of my ideas have spun off from using an older less known RPG called Hong Kong Action Theatre. It's premise is that you play actors playing characters in fake action films which makes it a great fit with minimal work.

2024-05-30 04:31:57 +0000 UTCI am open to inspiration from anywhere. The real question I want to answer is if I can make the experience specific to the story world. Some parts are hard to convert, but I am going to try. Several TTRPGs in Carousel's genre have been made using forged in the dark and they seem to work well. IDK how much of it I will use.

Because I personally believe a 'Forged in the Dark' system could fit quite nicely. It already has a role system in place. A stress system, to show the mental fatigue of the characters. And a downtime system, so players can take time between missions either de-stressing or research information on future missions.

2024-05-30 04:04:56 +0000 UTCI feel like a ttrpg in this setting would fit pretty nicely tbh, you could set per story milestones and try to make modules be around 1-2 sessions so it'd be slightly longer than a one shot unless it was a bigger mainline story mission, etc
