What would you like to see next?
Added 2024-03-01 02:25:50 +0000 UTCThe Tutorial will soon be done, and the world will start opening back up. I know two of the stories that will be featured in the next book after the Tutorial, but I was wondering what kind of stuff you might want to see. It can be anything from a genre to a trope type. Just leave it in the comments.
I will try to get through this next story much faster than the last two.
I am still working on the next chapter, and it will be out shortly. Just got to get some things buttoned down. Thank you so much for your support!

Dawn of the Dead - Get from the Mall to the Boat. It would even pair well with the ending too. They reach an Island full of zombies and full of panic they wonder if they truly completed the storyline. But then it fades to black ending in a win. Bobby would be a perfect Andy from the gun store with his dog. He could use his delayed infection trope! I'm still waiting for that one. Comedy pairs well. Issac could shine. Antoine can have some great action scenes. Riley could devise an awesome zombie-killing bus. Chainsaw all the way! Now I'm too excited. Damn.

2024-03-08 05:20:57 +0000 UTCI had another thought. You could do a true crime horror story. Or a something really fun and do a super meta story like cabin in the woods!

2024-03-03 21:45:14 +0000 UTCHuh. I wonder if dreamscapes are physical sets in Carousel? The cast may have to walk from their bedrooms to a dreamscape warehouse to continue filming :D

2024-03-02 23:39:32 +0000 UTCOoh. Please play one of the Don't Escape series of games by scriptwelder. Most of them are free. They're reverse escape rooms, where the goals are either to barricade the PC in a room safely from an outside attack , or to set traps inside the room next to the PC to prevent the werewolf/possessed version of the PC from escaping later that night. Something like that might be fun?

2024-03-02 08:26:14 +0000 UTCNot so much on plot, but location-wise, what about having a story on an airship? Maybe MC + co. notice something about the town in getting a bird's eye view?
Giant Sloth
2024-03-01 19:47:14 +0000 UTCI'd love to see MC try to get info out of an AI, and possible see it become an ally in order to free itself.

2024-03-01 19:45:03 +0000 UTCIt would be nice a movie that Riley can't explain what's going on and the other team mates have to figure it out , like the "The Strings Attached" arc.

2024-03-01 06:33:21 +0000 UTCI'm enjoying the variety. Looking at the comments, I agree that a comedy horror would be a nice change and give the newbies something less traumatic.

2024-03-01 06:12:11 +0000 UTCI think it would be cool to see one where the goal is purely to survive the night, or something of the like.

2024-03-01 04:35:17 +0000 UTCSomething like The Thing could be cool, have the villain disguised as one of the players.

2024-03-01 04:29:05 +0000 UTCIt might be interesting to see how Carousel handles a 'found footage' type storyline. Would the players be in charge of the camera, or would it introduce a NPC camera man so it could have control?

2024-03-01 04:24:13 +0000 UTCI would love some 1950s classic horror, with full anticommunist proganda cuz what's 1950s anything without it. Also a mystery train or circus thank you

2024-03-01 04:20:49 +0000 UTCSome futurey sci-fi horror wouldn’t go amiss. Maybe an ai villain like HAL from 2001 a space odyssey or the android from Alien. Some robot assistant that’s supposed to be on your side but isn’t.

2024-03-01 03:34:33 +0000 UTCI tend to be more partial to mysteries myself.

2024-03-01 03:10:56 +0000 UTCA villain like Freddy Kruger who kills you in your dreams would make good storyline

2024-03-01 03:05:14 +0000 UTCI'm not promising anything, but would a long-form story about the reporter be something people would be interested in? I don't feel I did her and her pal justice.

2024-03-01 02:57:03 +0000 UTCAfter the Tutorial, there won't be any handholding, I assure you.

2024-03-01 02:52:33 +0000 UTCI also said this before that I think it would be interesting for our resident scholar to actually study the magic involved in a lot of the plotlines since it's literally real magic. He can aim for Carousel to give him a troupe or an advanced class related to that it would differentiate his character from the monster hunter we know and it would be interesting to actually see the magic be used by one of the main characters. I know it's pulling in a couple different magic systems it would just be nice to understand the rules of it give us the tension of really understanding the danger and the possibilities for the team.

2024-03-01 02:50:23 +0000 UTCWhile I consider my taste pretty dark, I wouldn't mind dystopia and space horror (example, Snowpiecer and Alien). While I am not good at solving mysteries, I do love following it like Sherlock Holmes series. If I lean in my horror movie experiences — which is not a lot — I do love the movie Alien, The Thing(not the new one), The Fly. That is to name a few on the top of my head. I love psychological horror, a lot. Books have tons of those and I prefer those medium than movies, but each medium tells stories that works with those methods. I do love cheesy horror movies like the old Friday the 13th series(the deaths always invoke humour due to the fake bodies they put in place of the actors.) But with Carousal, I doubt there will be cheesy death. I am happy with most you have written and I say do whatever makes things easier for you to write. If you chuck me a gory story, I wouldn't mind since you have written you won't write sexual theme stuff.

2024-03-01 02:47:37 +0000 UTCOh comedy horror film would also be a really fun plotline
Anime Problem
2024-03-01 02:47:00 +0000 UTCSeeing Diana's rescue trope in action would number one. Honestly, wouldn't mind something silly and short. Like make it hard for the players to keep a straight face.

2024-03-01 02:44:07 +0000 UTCMeta horror like Behind the mask would be trippy
Dave
2024-03-01 02:42:54 +0000 UTCI think it would be interesting to have stories take place in the Future. I am thinking of the horror classic Alien and how the characters would react to something like that.
Dakay
2024-03-01 02:37:29 +0000 UTCI'd like to see less hand holding by Carousel's "system" and more the characters figuring things out on their own. The characters have basically been dragged around by Paragons the past two storylines. I also agree with Rachel about wanting to see more of the reporter from the side story, along with the badass mercenary she brought with her.
AmethystEnd
2024-03-01 02:34:43 +0000 UTCI think a life or death puzzle would be incredibly interesting I think it should be saved for after they've reduced their original team it could even have a very easy tie in to the overall plotline by having to solve and escape the most difficult death trap it would work really well because like most death trap horror films they're designed to be unfair yet beatable and the villans are always trying to prove something in those types of films so it would give great back and forth between the characters and likely a villian who legitimately wants to be in Carousel and likes playing by the rules

2024-03-01 02:33:25 +0000 UTCWhile others may not be interested, I’m a bit curious about what happened to the reporter from the email chain and the guy who got trapped by the cult. I personally really enjoyed the “short stories” at the end of the first arc, and how they expanded the world. I’d love to see either a continuation of that content. Or similar small snippets that give us perspective outside of Riley’s.
