Chapter 11 Maze Path

The tension in the room was incredibly high as Akihisa, Minami and Himeji all looked at Miharu who was holding what looked like a very powerful taser that was clearly charged. It had blue lighting dancing all around it.

“Miharu, now is not the time for this,” yelled Minami as she looked at the screen, seeing all the avatars being drowned in Miharu’s avatar as more and more of the girl's avatar kept appearing. “If you don’t recall your avatar’s it’s going to drown all of us.”

Miharu’s expression didn’t change all that showed in her cold eternal angry expression that was aimed at Akihisa, “No, you violated my beloved.” as tears began to roll down her cheeks, “She was perfect the way she was and you…” as she pointed the taser at Akihisa, “You violated her, you're the one that changed her,  you’re the one that ruined her perfection.”

In the principal's office the teachers and principles were left utterly confused, “What the hell is going on?” asked the Principal as she was becoming more and more frustrated by the situation.

“That’s Miharu Shimizu, from class 2-D, she actually challenged those three earlier in a ST Battle.” Said Ms.Takeuchi, “Is she here for revenge?”

“No, I don’t think so,” said Mia as she remembered what Akihisa told her, “I think she likes Minami, like likes her.”

“Are you kidding me?” asked Ms.Takahashi as she pushed a summoned Miharu avatar away, “We are in the middle of crisis right now and she’s starting a fight due to romantic feelings.”

“It looks that way.”

“Either way she’s getting detention for this,” said The Principal as she hit several Miharu avatars off her desk, “Mr. Nishimura, I know we have rules for interrupting a ST War but right now is an emergency.”

“Yes ma’am,” said Nishimura as he attempted to rush out of the classroom but nearly tripped over all of the MIharu avatars that were covering the floor. “What the?”

“The hallway is already flooded,” said Mia, “At this rate if that girl doesn’t recall her avatar the whole school will be flooded within minutes.”

“Not if I can help it.” said Nishimura as he began pushing through the avatars.

Akihisa was trying to think of something to say but nothing he thought was good enough he had no idea what he should do to calm down the situation.

Minami stepped in front of Miharu, “Akihisa didn’t do anything to me, I made this choice on my own.”

Miharu flinched slightly, “But you are perfect, beautiful…I loved you.”

Miharu remained frozen for several moments but more and more tears began to pour out of her eyes, “You’re lying…you’re lying…you must be trying to cover for him.” Miharu began to shake as she held up the taser. “This is all your FAULT!!!”

She yelled before lunging forward aiming at Akihisa but Minami tried to get between the two but Akihisa wasn’t just going to sit by. Akihisa quickly pushed Minami out of the way as Miharu plunged her taser right in his chest. “AAAAHHHH!” as he yelled in pain.

“AKIHISA!!!” yelled everyone as they saw there friend in pain.

Even in the principal's office Mia froze at the sight of Akihisa being tased, “Akihisa.” she whispered under her breath.

Miharu didn’t have a chance to respond or say anything as she quickly blacked out causing the system to suspend her avatars. The one thought that went through her head before she hit the floor was, ‘Bastard.’

“AKIHISA!” yelled Minami and Himeji as they rushed to him as he fell to the ground clutching his chest.

Akihisa was breathing heavily as he felt the pain in his chest, he ignored it for moment to see the worry in Himeji and Minami’s eyes, he forced a smile, “I’m fine,” he then remembered the problem at hand, “I’M FINE! YUUJI, HIDEYOSHI, END THIS!”

Yuuji’s avatar punched through the crowd of Miharu avatars as they started to disappear, “You heard the man, CHARGE!” Soon him, Shouko and Kouta busted into the server room from one vent as Hideyoshi, Yuuko and Aiko came through another vent. “We made it.”

“Heads up,” yelled Hideyoshi as they all saw five knights all with letter As on their shields. “We got one more line of defense to bust through.”

Outside Akihisa was forced to deactivate his avatar as he began to lose consciousness, “You guys okay?” he asked the girls.

“Don’t worry about us you idiot,” Yelled Minami with tears in her eyes, “You're the one that got shocked.”

“Minami, we need to get Akihisa to the nurses office now,” said Himeji firmly.

“Relax, I’m fine, I just need some rest,” said Akihisa as his vision went black, “Sorry guys but I leave the rest to you.” the last thing Akihisa heard was his name and Iron man busting into the room.

“Akihisa,” said Yuuko with a hint of worry in her voice.

Hideyoshi noticed his sister's worried face but also overheard Iron man taking Akihisa, “Akihisa will be fine, Yuuko. He maybe an idiot but he's stubborn, he’ll be fine…I hope.”

“We can cry over him later,” said Aiko, getting the siblings' attention, “We need to rest the servers now.”

The siblings nodded, “You’re right, Aiko.” Yuuko said, “Hideyoshi, cover me.”

Hideyoshi’s avatar rushed forward and clashed blades with one of the knights, “You heard my sister cover her.”

All the others quickly rushed forward and each took a knight. “Nicely done,” said Yuuko as her avatar jumped over the knights, “I’ll go for the computer.”

One of the knights noticed and disengaged with Kouta and jumped at Yuuko, “You don’t touch my sister.” as Hideyoshi jumped and intercepted the knight.

“Thanks Hideyoshi,” said Yuuko as her avatar landed on the computer and as fast as she could moved the mouse to the reset button and clicked the mouse. “I did it.”

Soon the five knights began to glitch as they faded away. “We did it.” yelled Yuuji as the server room doors began to open.

“Nice job guys,“ Said Mia as she rushed in and went directly to the computer and quickly began typing on it, “Principal I’ve halted the computer transmission, I stopped the data from being sent.”

“Good work.” said the Principal. “Now we just need to find out who was trying to screw with us.” The Principal then opened the school’s AV system, “Attention students the current issue has been resolved but all further Summoner Test Wars are here by postponed until further notice. That includes practice wars or even mock battles, teachers are to stop anyone from trying to summon there avatars until I say otherwise, other that resume your regular class schedule.”

Even though classes resumed, all the students that helped take down the rogue avatars went to go check up on their friend who was in the nurse's office. “Minami, Himeji,” said Yuuji as he entered the nurses office, “How’s Aki doing?”

“Hey I don’t know the full situation but it’s quite clear you can’t reason with that level of crazy.” said Aiko.

“She’s right,” said Hideyoshi, “Miharu has some clear issues that I doubt you could have done anything about.”

“Hopefully we won't have to deal with her again,” said Kouta hopefully, “She’s definitely getting expelled for this, right?”

“If not she’ll most likely be expelled,” said Shouko, “You can’t go around tasing a classmate without some sort of repercussions.”

The group went quiet as they all turned to Shouko giving her a look of disbelief, with the exception of Yuuji who’s eye just began to twitch.

Yuuko was the first to turn away and look at Akihisa’s sleeping form, “I’m a bit surprised, I never thought this guy would take a taser like that.”

Yuuji smirked a little, “Say what you will about our idiot but when it comes down to it, he’ll jump in front of a bullet if it meant saving a friend.”

“What he lacks in brain cells he surely makes up for in guts.” said a voice.

Everyone turned to see Mr. Nishimura standing behind them. “Iron Man.” said a majority of the students.

“Sometimes I wish you students wouldn’t call me that,” said the Man as he stepped forward, “I’ve just came down after taking Miharu to the principal’s office and don’t worry Mrs. Takahashi is there along with the principal and when that girl wakes up she’s going to be in the lecture of her life.”

“That’s one problem down.” said Yuuji.

“Um, what about Akihisa?” asked Himeji, who was worried about her crush.

“For now he rests,” said Nishimura, “If he doesn’t wake up soon we’ll transfer him to the hospital.”

“Aside from that he’s getting a bit of extra credit and the next day off.” said Mia as she walked with Yui following her.

“We came to check on everybody,” said Yui, “How are all of you doing?”

“Don’t worry, we're all doing fine.” said Yuuji as the others nodded in agreement.

“That’s good, I never expected something like this to happen,” she said before giving Akihisa a worried look, “Or ever expected one of our students to get hurt like this before.”

“Seriously,” whispered Kouta, “have they not been watching half the shit class F gets up to.”

Hideyoshi shrugged, “I guess not.”

“I understand you both are worried about the students, but should you be here?” asked Mr. Nishimura.

Mia gave a quick smile, “Yeah don’t worry, we already got Mr. Fukuhara taking a look at the server computers. Not to mention they are my students and one of them got hurt on my watch,” as Mia looked at Akihisa, “I got to make sure our little hero here is okay.”

“The hero is hungry.” Came a weak voice, gaining the attention of the room.

“AKIHISA!” yelled the room as they saw the boy awake.

Akihisa smiled, “Hey guys, anyone got a snack.”

Soon for the rest of the students class resumed like usual while Miharu was sent home with her parents and suspended for the next week. When he was strong enough Akihisa was given permission to head home for the day and take the next day off. Which he was planning to enjoy.

Akihisa was then knocked out his thoughts as he heard a knock on his front door. ”Huh, who could that be?” as he opened the door and to his surprise it was, “Minami, Himeji?!”

“Hey Aki.” said Minami as she greeted him with a smile.

“Can we come in?” asked Himeji.

“Of course,” said Akihisa as he showed the girls in, “As he did he noticed that both girls had bags of food along with their school bags showing that they picked up the food right as they got off from school, “Did you guys go grocery shopping?”

Himeji nodded, “We thought we could help cook for you.”

Akihisa smiled and led them to the kitchen, “Here we can cook together.” Soon all three began to cook, even Himeji helped after getting directions from Minami and Akihisa. Eventually all three were sitting at the table eating a meal together. Akihisa began to eat, enjoying the food, “This is great.”

Himeji nodded, “Yeah I had no idea that recipe would work, it’s nothing like the stuff I tried cooking.”

“Maybe you should ask some others for recipes,” said Minami, “It’s good to make something solid before trying to add your own spin to it.”

“That’s some solid advice,” said Akihisa, “I’ll need to remember that for later.”

“I’ll remember that as well,” said Himeji as she looked at Akihisa as he ate. “So Aki, how are you feeling?”
