Sneak Peak: 3 NEW Halloween Projects!! (that you can make at home)

Happy September!! 🎉 We're working on THREE new Halloween projects for this next video, all of which you can easily build at home in a day or two. 👻🎃💀

Here are some work in progress updates!

The Hanging Skeleton

Earlier this year, our friend Aurelio Voltaire from the Lair of Voltaire YouTube Channel, reached out about helping him create a project from his new book "Gothic Life". We created the "Hanging Skeleghost" from his instructions and they used it for photographs for the picture in the book, which is really cool! We also video'd the whole process for how to make it. 😄

It's made from a plastic skeleton from the store and basically a ton of cheesecloth and glue. Super simple and so awesome!!

The Spooky Spider

We also decided to create 2 more projects for this video: one of them is a DIY SPIDER made from a balloon, paper mache, and some pool noodles. We're following the tutorial from the same book and seeing if we can create the whole thing in just a day with simple tools and materials. The head is using a wooden plaque from the store and a little insulation foam carved into a dome.

Not much to look at just yet but you can see it's starting to take shape. 🕷️

The Pumpkin Scarecrow

The third was our idea! It has a PVC body and an animated pumpkin head from Home Depot. We gave it some clothes from the thrift store and using burlap and hay to add lots of detail. Next up is we're going to use sticks for hands and do some weathering and painting with acrylic paints.

Giving it the talking pumpkin head really adds a TON of life to it and was so easy.

We get a lot of requests this time of year for simpler DIY projects like we used to do, so it's great to be able to do a bunch of good ones all at once now that we're into Spooky Season. It still takes us about a month to make a single video, so we hope that having 3 in one but will be useful for everyone for this season!! 😄
