Sneak Peak: Nightmare Mickey Animatronic!

Happy 2024! We're working on a brand new "from scratch" animatronic this month...a 3-axis head mech on a custom 3D model of a withered, broken down "Nightmare" version of Steamboat Willie-era Mickey! Moving head, moving jaw, glowing eyes...also we can control it with a PlayStation controller... it's going to be AWESOME!!

We're starting with just the head for this video and if it works and you guys like it, we'll continue on this year and build out the rest of the body and continue to develop our own animatronics for this and other projects.

In the photos above there's a bunch going on...

- The partially 3D printed head
- The 3-axis head animatronic that Jay is building from scratch
- A 3D render of the custom model we had commissioned
- A 3D render of the servo plate for the head mech
- Jaimie modeling the model while she models a model :D
- So much cool stuff happening!

By the way, all of these files will be available to Patrons when this comes out. (Mickey head and 3Axis stuff.)

The 3axis mech will be an ongoing work-in-progress project but we plan to provide all the 3D printed parts for it as well as instructions on how to build it in it's current iteration. (Forewarning: it uses an Arduino at the moment so you'll need some experience to get it working. Will try to make it easier as we go, this is just V1.)

Excited to show you guys this stuff! On a related note, we're still planning to get our "Wicked Workshops" going as well, the plan is to use this project as a kick-off for that. Was great to see so much interest!
