Sneak Peek: 'Eye' see you!
Added 2022-06-29 16:57:12 +0000 UTCA couple of days ago, the new Hocus Pocus 2 trailer came out and we are beyond excited to see it! 👻 One of the classic props from the original film is their spell book with the creepy eye that looks around.
We thought it'd be fun to make our own version of a spell book with a life-like animated eye that you can easily make at home!
The base is a $3 book that we found at Goodwill. We sculpted the eye shape with Sculpey and used hot glue for the tentacles. The whole thing was covered with a really cool tissue paper technique that makes it look like leather.
We made a custom eyeball animation video that plays on a smartphone hidden inside the book and there's a curved piece of glass over it that gives it a 3D look!
As soon as the YouTube video is ready, we'll be releasing several versions of our Eyeball animation here on Patreon!
