2024-02-29 07:15:57 +0000 UTCReally enjoying the podcast guys! Regarding the Ford Mondeo you mentioned with touring car liveries, it’s at the Green Dragon pub in Buttington near Welshpool. I work in the business park opposite, and had thought about sending a photo of it to you a few weeks ago. It did have a for sale sticker in the window a while back but it’s mostly just sat there for ages. I’ll post some photos of it when I go past next time.

2024-02-26 11:03:57 +0000 UTCRegarding seats on GWR trains to/from Paddington from the south west, these are operated by Hitatchi Class 800 trains. As mentioned the seats in standard class are shockingly uncomfortable and by most accounts is something to do with their fire safety rating. Now the seats are a few years old, the majority of the padding has collapsed, leading to ones backside being supported solely by part of the metal frame of the seat itself. The same trains and seat design are also used by LNER, and the 4+ hour journey from London to Edinburgh in one of those effectively serves a secondary purpose as marketing for BA. Loving the podcast as always!
