2024-01-18 13:20:07 +0000 UTCMost folks are probably aware, but there is a fleet of restored and subtly upgraded Amphicars at a restaurant called The Boathouse in the Disney Springs complex in Florida that give rides on the lake to paying guests every day.

2024-01-17 00:54:09 +0000 UTCYou missed out the funniest thing about the Fiat Idea - Fiat claims it’s an acronym for “Intelligent Design Emotive Architecture”.

2024-01-16 20:51:03 +0000 UTCIt was on an episode of The Big Bang Theory.

2024-01-16 05:39:16 +0000 UTCI typically don't watch those vids, but that one I have. She was really off her gourd not to notice that and then to question why what she was doing was wrong.

2024-01-15 14:03:26 +0000 UTCI like the idea of there being a shed load of amphicars running around Uganda and they now have so many they're trying to export them to avoid being overrun.

2024-01-15 13:32:41 +0000 UTCAmazing! Worthy of being next week’s third thing, in fact. Richard

2024-01-15 12:55:05 +0000 UTCI know naff all about Cars but you finally asked a question I CAN help with. During the Apollo the missions, mirrors were placed on the moon's surface. NASA now shines lasers at these mirrors and times how long it takes to bounce back. We know the speed of light so can calculate the distance to the moon. https://www.nasa.gov/missions/laser-beams-reflected-between-earth-and-moon-boost-science/#:~:text=There%20are%20five%20reflecting%20panels,in%201969%20and%201971%2C%20respectively.

2024-01-15 11:29:19 +0000 UTCAs an American from near Detroit I find this absolutely SHOCKING... How could they not go for overpriced, underperforming and unreliable sedans (but admittedly very aggressive looking) and instead go for those well-engineered, all -weather multi-purpose and comfortable "ferrin" cars?! :-D

2024-01-15 10:28:27 +0000 UTCRegarding School run vehicles. The primary school my daughters went to had quite a few no name full suspension mountain bike Father's dropping off their Spawn from the handlebars!!

2024-01-15 08:27:58 +0000 UTCI'm guessing the power steering needed Central Hydraulic Fluid, not ATF. Get it changed out!

2024-01-15 08:24:41 +0000 UTCCan confirm that „youths“ like McLaren and Lambos. My son who was with me at the London Concours and live show can spot them miles away … he is also an avid Minecraft player ! Quick comment: I know it is exceedingly pedantic but I mourn the loss of the words “farther” and “farthest”. Further is to show progress or distance in general whereas farther should be used when you need a unit of measure. It is all confusing though as one would move something “a further 3 mm” but something would be “3 mm farther” … Shocking that an American is mansplaining English… and don’t get me started on the misuse of “I” as an object … Oh yes I am so much fun at parties!!! :D love the show guys!

2024-01-15 08:10:34 +0000 UTCThanks for reading my question! Though common over there, in Washington State the state police had a Volvo 850r wagon cop car

2024-01-15 05:35:38 +0000 UTCThe usual school run traffic around here is a rather bland mix of Teslas and crossovers, but for a brief time there was one dad who brought his kid to school in a camo-patterned Chiang Jiang motorcycle and sidecar, which is the Chinese knockoff of the Ural. I once also met a nice old lady, ex-nurse, who took both of her kids to school all through the primary grades in a late-1950s Corvette. I hear you pointing out that the C1 'Vette is a two seater: the boys had to take turns sitting in the passenger footwell.

2024-01-15 01:42:56 +0000 UTCIf anyone wants to see the ultimate driving on a flat tyre episode google an american person in a substance induced state of mind alteration driving an audi Q5 on a brake disc instead of one of the front wheels. This was on an interstate keeping up with traffic and in lane. They then proceed to assault someone who stopped them to warn of this minor technical mishap.

2024-01-14 21:31:27 +0000 UTCRe the best school run car question, the best I got was my Dad picking me up in a brand new Rover 216 Vitesse that he’d borrowed off his manager at Jag. I was at primary school, it was lunchtime and we just went for a half hour drive. The best I’ve seen was when I was at secondary school, a lad used to occasionally get picked up in a DeTomaso Pantera or a BMW E30 M3. Git.

2024-01-14 21:23:55 +0000 UTCWhy at 20 minutes 15 seconds is there a weird little yell in the background or is it just me hearing this 😂

2024-01-14 21:15:57 +0000 UTCI think Rich looks good with the flat cap, but I’d agree with his wife that it does age him a bit. Might be the combo with the beard that does it …

2024-01-14 20:05:11 +0000 UTCSwan people definitely exist. I live in Wanstead, a rather leafy suburb of leafy London blessed by lakes and ponds. When "Bruce", the local swan so beloved by the residents' facebook group was lost to avian flu, the post in the group had almost a thousand likes. One woman took it upon herself to frame a sepia toned picture of Bruce on her mantlepiece. It was around this time I was banned from the group.

2024-01-14 19:36:02 +0000 UTCThey use lasers to measure the distance to the Moon. Mirrors set up during the landings are used to bounce them back

2024-01-14 19:16:13 +0000 UTCBefore I even start listening, I want to highlight some rare car spots from the pub garden yesterday. A red V8 Vantage (the 1990s model) that went past twice, a Citroen C6 in champagne metallic and three 'new' VW Sciroccos that didn't seem to be together but were all going in the same direction, at the same time. Strange. Also what must've been a Porsche 965, with the plate BMX 965. Never seen it before, looked minty. Edit: Oh yes, I was walking down the Lamport railway the other week and there was a Fiat 126 in a yard. Got a picture if anyone is interested. I've also been watching train cab videos (I'm very exciting but I bet Jonny would like them) and there was a yard full of mostly Disco 2s just south of the Ashchurch for Tewkesbury station. Really interesting.
