Added 2023-09-03 17:00:04 +0000 UTCJonny and Richard are at Bicester Heritage for RADwood. Topics covered in this episode include buying a cheap Hammond organ, Richard being one of the judges in the Hot Wheels Legends competition, standing behind Terry Wogan, Honda NSXs and Ayrton Senna’s Algarve yachting-style slip-ons, a technical latrine, the shocking state of cubicle doors in American bathrooms, Jonny hanging out with Tavarish, the elusive brown Audi A2 of Bath/Bath, a strangely named cottage near Silverstone, being let down by Chris Hemsworth, an update on Volvo saloons and estates in the UK, a new Smith and Sniff planning service, the problem with racing drivers appearing on Top Gear, and Kimi Raikkonen going for a post-sauna jet ski.

Not in his defense, but more sharing the results of what I found when I looked into this, for anyone curious. Florida business registration lists that he started that website business in 2017 and then dissolved the business in 2018. He has a tweet where he says he got out of "anything political" because it was empty and unfulfilling and he changed. So, who can say. Sometimes though it's nice to connect to others through our mutual loves (cars) despite differences. I'll be clear, that website was mega icky.

2023-10-22 13:12:41 +0000 UTCJust catching up on old episodes, and listening to this. As much as you both seem to like Freddy “Tavarish” Hernandez are you not at all squeamish about the source of his wealth, namely very right-wing American websites? I know that it puts me off watching anything he’s involved in.

2023-09-11 15:57:40 +0000 UTCYou see, now I'm getting the image of Jonny having a one-way conversation with an taxidermised Richard propped up in a chair.

2023-09-05 16:09:22 +0000 UTCI once quizzed an American shop fitter on the toilet door choices and I was informed “If you’re unwilling to look god in the eye whilst taking a shit then you’re up to no good boy.” Apparently it is really just to put people off shooting their arm (or foot, if hardcore) full of smack.

2023-09-05 09:33:31 +0000 UTCThe D-spec estate planning company would have to be called Smith & Stiff! 😬

2023-09-05 07:36:25 +0000 UTCOn that side of the leaving notes things, my roommate sells various auctions items on eBay and FB marketplace and he leaned one of these items on the back of Mk1 Golf race car. He got more posts about if my car was for sale than he did for the item.

2023-09-04 16:38:04 +0000 UTCFeel like I should admit to a conversational tick I just caught myself doing, I had 'as such' and 'and such' in the same sentence. I'm a self-confessed suchist. As such, I will go and bury my head in shame, disappointment and such.

2023-09-04 07:12:59 +0000 UTCDoes Jonny mean Brackley Hatch? Spent my formative years in Towcester and drove the bypass many a time and didn’t notice a “brands hatch cottage”.

2023-09-04 04:13:02 +0000 UTCIt 100% has returned, I drive a night bus in Newcastle and unfortunately you see "the kids" with them all the time.

2023-09-04 00:17:14 +0000 UTCAnd I'm not namedropping myself but I do rate a good Hammond organ, they've got such a distinctive sound. I reckon a Hammond organ rendition of Felix - 'Don't you want me?' would sound pretty good. Some EDM translates really well to other instruments, especially the Prodigy's stuff.

2023-09-03 21:06:22 +0000 UTCI'm genuinely afraid the mullet is making a return, and not just at themed car shows. Earlier in the year I was at the Bath / Barth & West agricultural show and I saw several terrible mullets on display.

2023-09-03 20:38:25 +0000 UTCUnfortunately no Portuguese slip-ons in the NSX at RADwood (I must rectify this, immediately…), just my genuine-article, late 90’s combats with period correct piss-mop, trodden out heel arches…. No swap for the E-Abarth either, sorry Richard. Spot on cast as usual chaps, many thanks 👏
