Hello again. Right then, what’s going on this week? Well, in pictures we have the amazing Mike Brewcelee ornament, including the hands of Mike himself. Then we have a couple of Richard’s related work-avoiding idiotic Photoshops, Jonny driving the 911 Dakar while feeling peaky, some images of early (and frankly disturbing) Bibendum and the Genesis GV60. Note the massive mirror adjuster on the driver’s door. Tunnock’s Tea Cake image included for reference. Now some links…

Alcantara is indeed a separate company

Comments

I did the same. Laughed myself to tears 😂

Simon Gauci

The tease of a Mike Brewerce Lee model is why I’ve joined Patreon, odd in isolation but what sane minded person would give up the chance to gander at such an ‘entresting’ object.

Jon Stevens

This popped in to my head and now will not leave: Roxette's It Must Have Been Rust Must have been rust But it's primer now.....

MedicalFlyer

Maybe you should join the livestream Festival Harry does getting tanked on the way to his favourite roads... But crucially still on the drive.

Ross Hetherington

Mike Brewer is such a great guy. He took so much crap over the whole "Ed leaving WD" mess but he's been nothing but decenct about it. I love that he remains successful on our tellyboxes and youtubes and is a good friend of the podcast.

Ant Cooke

Utterly baffled when watching YouTube and all of a sudden Samsung starts playing the S&S intro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxgaNzR3i1s

Jack Rallings

I've literally just cried laughing at these pics. Good on Mike Brewer for being such a good sport.

Dave Carter

As a survivor from the Max Powahhhh era, ICE will always mean terribly wired fire hazard entertainment system

MICHAEL AIKEN

ICE will always mean Dimma-kitted Renault 5 GT Turbos

Toby

I love that Brewce Lee is actually in full “ ‘old aht yer ‘and” pose.

Toby

Just imagining an Essex/UK version of Duel….

Wayne Brook

"Mike Brewcelee" posits the existence of a Jean-Claude Vant Anstead figurine.

Brendan McAleer

Wait nevermind, equally as bad though

Gabriel Grist-Parker

That company is called Barugzai or something

Gabriel Grist-Parker

I would also pay to watch this.

Ed Storer

Brewce Lee 🤣🤌

TD

That Tata Safari looks like it'd fit right in with the rest of those types of cars in the UK. Driven badly and parked even worse.

George Wade

Great episode! The Mike Brewcelee figurine is the stuff of legend. Just my two cents on the ICE vs Piston side of things: I really like using "piston" vs "electric" when refering the drivetrain of cars or other motorized ve-hicles, though since 2014 people refer to the V6 turbo in F1s as the ICE and, in context of these discussons, I never thought that people were refering the In Car Entertainment - but is perfectly acceptable that Jonny gets confused, given the many year of living the "tuning and car modding" sub-culture. My point is, and it is a very nitpicking one: if you refer to just piston cars, you are leaving out the rotor driven ones, a.k.a. Wanke(r)l, like the Mazda RX-7 and RX-8. So maybe ICE is the more inclusive way to refer to combustion drivetrains...

ICE - In Car Entertainment. Always will be. Flicking through Max Power, looking at the latest head units, 6x9s, 12 inch Subs and Bass boxes. I spent a total of £550 pounds in 1996/7 on Kenwood 6x9s 10 inch sub in a box, and two amps.....my MK 1 Fiesta that it was installed in cost me £700. I upgraded the Goodmans pull out head unit for a Longmill one. I then sold it all to a gut who called himself Kit- Kat

Richard Matthews

ICE is always In Car Entertainment! Not In Case of Emergency! I want an Ioniq 5 so bad. Love love the styling.

Peter Viney

Just listened to the podcast and your comments about supermarket medicine. If you check the box and look for the PL number on a branded version and the supermarket one, if they are the same then this means they are the same

Dean Knight

Revere was set up by The Ripps. A.k.a the family that set up R Tec in St Alban's. Jonny will know.

George Wade

That new closing music always leaves me thinking of The Mighty Boosh - and that’s not a bad thing!

DrivingForever

Ice - in car entertainment Have you read the absolute bobbins on that that terrible tuner website? Especially about their customers?? Honestly shocking.

Robin White

I’m wondering whether Richard might need to start telling us a 4th thing at the end of the ‘cast, along the lines of: “Mike Brewerce Lee’s solo YouTube channel, called “Stealer Sheilas”, in which Mike travels around Australia, tutoring otherwise meek-and-mild-mannered women in the art of ‘olding out their ‘ands in such an aggressive manner that they’re picking up deals on cars that are frankly criminal.”

Angus Greene

There's a great 'Not the Nine O'clock News' sketch involving Bibendum. I tried finding it on YouTube but theres only a crappy screen grab. https://youtu.be/9ZvGxnmkzEc.

John Hammond

Never get chance to listen until later in the week….but fascinated about the idea of replacing our BMW X1 with a Honda Element!

Catcave

Never mind Jacobs cream crackers you both have the giggles like you have been on the Jacobs Creek ;)
