Not a lot of show notes this week, but we’ve got pics of the terrible 1990s Chrysler Sebring convertible and an example of an Avon car-shaped cologne bottle and these three links

That original vintage Sebring wasn’t terrible - for its time. It’s hardtop successor was absolute rubbish the minute it launched.

Grandpa’s white Manta - means you probably have cousins that you’ve never met!

Had some great days at Lydden Hill watching rally cross, including seeing one Barry McGuigan roll the car where the track goes from loose to tarmac by the start/finish straight. The ex Group B cars were something wonderful to witness.

The 24 hours of Lemons gave anyone who showed up with a Sebring at their Sebring race a free entry....

The Sebring was pretty terrible, but a distant 2nd behind the rental-spec Taurus I had one trip - that was a truly abysmal car

Steve Harris

What a flashback. We hired a Sebring convertible for our honeymoon. Other than realising florida was too hot to have the roof down, my only other memory is that the brakes were absolutely abysmal and left us over the line at a red light by quite a way. Awful thing!

Nick Davies

I had a Sebring Convertible as a rental in LA. With the hood stowed, you could just fit a wash bag in the ‘trunk’. We did the classic north through Death Valley and Yosemite and back along PCH road trip and kept seeing fellow Sebring rental victims with the hood down and all their luggage stacked in the back seat. A great road trip in a terrible car, but not as good as Argentina’s ‘Ruta 40’ in a Volkswagen ‘Gol’ - not quite a Golf for the South American market. The road trip was stunning, the Gol only a notch above a Sebring. Seven punctures and a 100km with a hitch-hiking policeman in uniform made for quite a trip.

Humphrey Barber

We always joke about those Sebring convertibles ... seems to be "women of a certain age" as the usual driver, and you might see 1 in 10 that actually has the roof down on a nice day. Usually it's windows up, A/C blasting, much to Jonny's chagrin.
