We're back on video except this one's only for you, our wonderful Patrons. This is the new podcast (with a slightly different start and end) but you can see us talking. Hope you like it.

In this episode we talk about, amongst other things, knock-off A-ha, cars in property ads, conspicuous illegality, almost crashing Britain's oldest Beetle, The Car's The Star, people thinking you've defecated in their house when you haven't, reviving a bee, Jonny's new cartoon crime fighting show, using the word 'trove', ill-fitting nitrous kits, wearing a tie with a bomber jacket, unwelcome air mattress deflation, trying to sneak bits of Belisha beacon out of the house, hire car mishaps, and annoying Tiff Needell by forcing him to play crazy golf and then filling his bed with bric-a-brac.

I haven't even watched this yet but can I just say, I LOVE hearing/watching you guys eat! It's hilarious how much it annoys people!

Forgot to mention this a couple weeks ago when this episode was released, but speaking of great motorway services, my wife and I were blown away in 2019 by Tebay Services off the M6, just north of Kendal. It was our first time touring the UK by car, and we were headed north toward Edinburgh from Kendal. I wanted to pull off the M6 to maybe find some coffee, but as it happens, Tebay Services had a full restaurant, coffee shop, a farmer's market, and hotel. It was absolutely extraordinary!

Re hire car carnage. A while back we rented one in Norway from one of the usual firms. On s straight but icy road the rear end decided it wanted out of the journey the front end and rest of us were taking and we started spinning our way down the road bouncing the front end off the compacted snow. Not a huge amount of damage but vis-à-vis enough. We got to the airport and drove it into one of the snow drifts that had been cleared from the parking area and headed off for the plane. Months later the hire company contacted to say they had found damage!

I just hope that Richard has 9 things to tell us next week. Trivia isn't trivial, Richard, and we deserve a trove of trivia next time.

If ever I see a middle aged man on a BMX I automatically assume he has a T4

Another great podcast, thanks gents. Here's a recent video on that legendary Porsche and Ferrari beating Capri - recently brought back to life after having been left unused for some time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X84MDMOtfYc

Andrew Dixon

Ah I see. I was hoping that would be here but I see it on my podcast app. Thanks.

Fergus McIver

The audio podcast is available as normal.

Peter Heamon

Could we have audio versions too please? How am I supposed to listen to this in my car while using Waze?

Fergus McIver

Christ I glad I am alone at lunch time. Fair near wet myself with the discussion of Tiff’s penchant for strip bars and Rich’s French explanation for a trashed gearbox. Oh and the reason that the hire car company probably couldn’t give a toss is that dealing with Private renters is a bugger so they generally let it build up to a point of danger then rent it on a corporate account. Staff person couldn’t give two tosses and then hire company send an enormous bill to rebuild the car. When we rent cars we now have to video every panel and if there is so much as a light scuff drag the hapless agent out to the car and make them sign that it was damaged.

Atleast we know that if Rich is unavailable for a podcast in the future we can have... Smith & Weston, a podcast in which a father and son don't talk about guns

The 1989 Batman was filmed at Pinewood which is near me. The entire Gotham City Main Street set was built outside on the backlot. It was massive and I remember peering at it through the fence from Black Park next door.

SingleSpeedDemon

Farting on a white seat. Risky business

Robin White

Fun new Batman movie fact, a lot of the Wayne Manor shots were filmed at Burghley House, right on Jonny's doorstep.*ok correction, its Wayne Manor in the upcoming The Flash movie.

Vincent Grey

Excellent fun.

Steve Morton

What a joy this was, just like old times. There is a nice drive just through Baldock on the A507, it has nice bends and hills and is good for a fast run if it is clear.

Adam Clark

Really enjoyed that, glad the camera behaved itself this time.

Matt Tester

As long as Jonny didn't follow through!

Matt Tester

Wonderful stuff, proving that men get older but never grow up

James Lomas

After 0:13 we can be sure its 'squeaky' clean.

Ger O'Connor

"I've not drived one"

Ger O'Connor

A great Sunday surprise treat - thanks for the video, guys.

Tom Lanigan

Deceased spec TT?

Peter Heamon

God I missed these nonsense talking while eating lunch videos ... I know they're a pain to make compared to doing a podcast. Thanks! And the SuperBee was a Dodge. :-)

Ed Nicholson

That interior is VERY white isn’t it? Some would say it’s both hideous and impractical I should expect.

Tim C

Brilliant, thanks.
