It's very intriguing reading the comments to your podcast before actually listening to it, this one sounds like a beauty. I very rarely get to listen to the pod on the day it's released, it's usually the end of the working week or sometimes the weekend of the next pod before I get a chance to catch up due to working 4ON 4OFF 12 hour night shifts plus I have some caring responsibilities. I could always try to listen to the show in my almost intoxicated, sleep deprived state between shifts but I hold off until I am in a condition to appreciate it a bit more, usually on a long walk mixed up with episodes of Ed Gamble's Off Menu podcast (well worth a listen)

2021-09-21 15:02:39 +0000 UTCRegarding the car bottle thing, a couple of stories: - In the late 90s person I know was due to collect his new Merc 500 SEC on a Saturday morning. Something happened, was unable to get there so arranged to collect on the Monday. Got a call Monday morning to be told the congratulatory bottle of champagne they were going to give him was accidentally left in the car. Sunday was a hot sunny day, champagne geysered all over and then baked into the leather upholstery.... Complete interior redo. - Used to have a Fiat Uno. Stuck a bottle of red wine in the crack between the split rear seats to stop it rolling about when driving and forgot it was there. Same deal, car spent day in sun before I found a completely empty bottle. Open the hatch to find the cork on the boot carpet, a tiny (about 2cm) red spot on the carpet and red wine swilling around in the spare wheel recess. The cork had eased out and my Uno had appeared to drink a bottle of wine!

2021-09-21 11:58:59 +0000 UTCI once bought a Ctiroen Ax Jazz off a mate and after a week or so was cleaning it out and found an unopened bag of Cathedral City mature cheese, dated a few months previously. The bag was swollen and some what liquidy so I thanked the deities it was still sealed and hurled it into the nearest litter bin. Also on the bob-tailing normal cars side of things, google the Mercedes 190 hatchback...........
