Re: Passengers with trade plates - Richard was partially right. You're not allowed to carry passengers for hire or reward in a vehicle wearing trade plates, but it is permissible to have a non-paying passenger in a vehicle. For example, an unlicensed vehicle being taken on a test drive by prospective customers. I've done this a few times where there has been myself, my wife, and the salesperson in the car.
