Podcast 38 - Back once again with the Jeep Renegade Master
Added 2021-01-10 19:00:04 +0000 UTCHello,
In the new show we vaguely mentioned giving Patreons early access to new episodes of the Smith and Sniff podcast. "Hang on," you say to yourself, "I haven't heard the new show yet." Well, the good news is you can listen to it right now because it's embedded in this post which, assuming we've got all the settings right, is going live on Sunday evening, 12 hours before those non-Patreon suckers get to hear it. We hope you like it.
Cheers,
Jonny and Richard

Still going through the back catalogue and listened to this episode on my drive home to Wales. Laughed so much as usual. Since setting up a 2nd insta a/c the search thing is totally confused as was showing me lots of ladies to now all things cars - though it has learnt I like various cars so I'm getting lots of quirky, kei, rally, etc looking forward to seeing what I get next.

2021-01-13 12:53:35 +0000 UTCOn a technical note, from listening to other Patreon supported podcasts, there is a way of enabling a Patreon-only link to copy into your podcast ‘catcher’ of choice which will allow the early podcast to be downloaded automatically into your phone as the usual one does. It is essentially a new podcast stream but hidden from public view (i.e not searchable in Apple Podcast store etc)

2021-01-13 12:51:26 +0000 UTCCrikey, yes, the S60 Cross Country. Amazingly, there's one for sale on Auto Trader at the moment.

2021-01-12 21:38:13 +0000 UTCAlso, the Track T800 cdi, was a diesel engined motorcycle from early 2010s, used the 800cc diesel engine from the smart fortwo. Also worth a mention is the the volvo s60 cross country (jacked up saloon cars), canned by volvo in 2016 after selling 34 cars in the UK.

2021-01-12 21:29:22 +0000 UTCGreat podcast! Was most confused when I pulled up at home and my WiFi connected up and started downloading 'Jeep Renegade Master', I thought my next door neighbours JEEP renegade was sending me something haha.

2021-01-12 12:12:29 +0000 UTCI believe it is "StreetHaaawwwuuukkkahhhh" - had great music (ok at least one good song?), I can still clearly remember watching a "riding at night thru a gritty neighborhood" scene with Sympathy for the devil playing - and, having not heard that song before spending ages trying to find out who sang it etc pre-tinternet. Only one season? Oh worm-hole alert - fun fact; watch the first episodes of Magnum PI, they didn't have the iconic theme music until after several episodes (maybe even seasons?)...

2021-01-11 21:25:07 +0000 UTCGood point about the Instagram promoted content and dancing women. For some reason mine went from women exercising to nothing but accounts showing you how to cook steaks and marinate varies meats. I don’t even eat meat.

2021-01-11 08:58:06 +0000 UTCGreetings from Crieff. I used to live in one of the flats above Scorpios (or Scorps it was known). My heart was racing as you mentioned “the strangest nightclub I’ve ever been to was called Scorpios” because I thought “shit, no - they’re can’t be TWO of them!”. The only (and I do mean ONLY) thing going for it was it was the only place left open in town once the pubs had shut. The flats’ door was right next to that of the club and the intercom buzzers had no silencing function on them so many’s the Saturday night I would be awoken at 2o’clock by the highlarious japes of drunks trying to get a taxi/drink/whatever by buzzing my flat. In the winter months my revenge was swift and easy - a tin of veg soup heated up and popped in a hot water bottle. I would the go down to the square outside where everyone was loitering, turn my back on them and double over, heaving and retching - “throwing up” all the soup. Some poor souls began to join in the vomming: the rest followed immediately after when my girlfriend would stoop down with a spoon and start eating from the pile/puddle of steaming “puke” I had just delivered. A tsunami of spew would then be forthcoming. Back off to bed with a smile on my face and a spring in my step.

2021-01-10 23:38:38 +0000 UTCBrilliant podcast guys, another secret Ford is the mk2 Sierra cosworth. There 1 prototype which was made. The front and rear ends were taken from the mk2 Sierra sapphire cosworth. Also, speaking about street hawk, I have home recorded vhs episodes of street hawk from the bravo channel and it randomly ends on the 6th episode after the first 3 minutes

2021-01-10 22:26:34 +0000 UTCOn this side of the pond, I have a vague memory of Scorpio and XR4Ti advertisements exhorting clueless Americans to pronounce Merkur, “mare-KOOR.”

2021-01-10 21:02:39 +0000 UTCThanks gents, got me through my deliveries tonight, I doubt very much if people actually got the correct groceries but my van is empty, so that's a result for me.
