2024-08-08 Drawing The Figure In Deep Perspective

In this lesson, I show you some of the strategies for overcoming those challenges.
Suggested homework:
Using the reference provided, practice getting the various body parts to brak that picture plane and getting the deep space you're aiming for.

Loved the visual of the steel ruler being bent and then turned away from the viewer in space. It so clearly showed the idea of a form’s length shortening when in deep perspective while its curve becomes far more pronounced. After, on a friend’s catamaran, I looked over at a sailboat next to us and admired its elegantly curved edge. Across the small waterway in front of us I saw another similar boat, but in deep perspective. The view was mostly of its stern and the curved edge was quite prominent. Thanks for a great visual lesson.
