I Dare You...

Imagination is the beginning of creation.

George Bernard Shaw wrote that.

We create our world one decision at a time.

Every one of us has goals.

Those that succeed have goals.

Those that fail have goals.

Every one of us have moments to celebrate and moments that nearly tear our hearts out.

Our only control — our only real power — is how we choose to act in each moment.

And not just act, but act on the things that matter in a way that actually makes a difference.

No. Not the fires that need putting out!

But actions that move us towards our goal — towards the full potential of who we came into this world to be!

So, I dare you…

Each morning, for the first 20 minutes of the day, take uninterrupted action on THE most important thing that will move you a little closer to that highest energy being you are born to be…

Let’s say the goal is, oh I don’t know, skillful Figure Drawing!

So…

Watch a video on drawing and draw along or…

Sketch the lowest pressure way you can think of because you need to kickstart your drawing practice or…

Study Caravaggio because you want his drama in your work or…

Get the idea?

Just 20 minutes!

Train your brain like it’s a precious little puppy. Train it to do one small right action at a time.

And when we trains puppies, we do it with love. We do it with tons of praise.

That way, the puppy wants to come back and repeat that right action.

Do that for yourself.

That is the real secret of success…

Doing right actions, first one and then many, again and again, first thing, until suddenly you notice you are exactly where you always wanted to be!

Being where you want to be is exctly what I wish for YOU…

Give to yourself a little bit of what’s good for you today and every day BEFORE you give to the world around you.

And please tells us—

what you are going to do with your morning time?

With love,

Steve

A beautiful way to begin a day!

As soon as I wake up I like to hone my drawing skills in a sketchbook. I start with music, a cup of ginger and honey tea and one of your video’s on whatever I need to work on. Today it’s portraiture, yesterday it was limbs.
