Fruits of our labours...

It's all Nik's fault. Well, nearly all Nik's fault.

If it wasn't for his absolute refusal to compromise on any aspect of the mini build, we'd have been long done by now.

We were astonished to find that you couldn't buy an aftermarket switch that has a backlight as well as the warning light. You can buy illuminated switches almost anywhere, but they only glow with one colour. Nik went off and modified a bunch of switches we bought from a well known parts retailer to get what he wanted, but the switch itself - regardless of any "adaption" was just dire.

So we got our own made. Months of development and back and forth have yielded what we believe to be the first aftermarket switch that has a backlight illumination and the warning colour.

Available in front fog, rear fog, heated rear window, hazard and A/C in both stainless steel and black anodised aluminium bodies, we're very proud of these things. They come with the plug and the terminals as a complete kit.

If you would like to get your hands on one - or more - there's a special 15% off discount for Patrons using the coupon code PATRON15 at the checkout.

Hope you like them!

Cheers,

Nik and Richard.

This looks promising - not sure if I can figure out a project where I actually _need_ some - but, not being in UK, I'm unsure what are the "MOT correct colours", nor did I find a list. I presume the lights are as in dashboards, official standard or not; front fog = green rear fog = yellow heated rear window = yellow hazards = red And, as blue is an option, I presume A/C is blue. But I would bet it's not in MOT specifications. A non-issue, as I'm allergic to blue LED glow and will likely get the dull-looking rings, but it would be nice to get a description of the colours to make sure. In addition, looks like there are no pictures of the ring lights, to know what I'm getting into.

This is, a kind of magic...

James Foster

Is there one for funk?

Nathen Fredrick

At the risk of.... maybe that's an icon for a demister, not a key penetration? (Oooo... he said penetration)

Sean Walker

Talk about a tease! You show that inspired switch but not the Key!? That key must be one heck of an inspired piece of work looking at the openings for the wards. Let's see it, boys! Show off those creative chops! And thanks for turning the hurdles you've faced and solved into solutions for the rest of us. Brilliant!

Will Hirsch

Brilliant. The Eaton Moeller M22 series for industrial panels can do two lights and a switch (NC or NO) behind a button but is modular and not automotive and limited choice in icons.

As a suggestion for when you do momentary ones, I'd like to have one with a computer "power" logo on it, either in blue or in green. (Or possibly with red and green LEDs rather than having one white.) That could be useful either for powering on my computer or as a "start" button for the car.

These switches are the BOM. Sorry had to say it. Any chance you might offer a multi pack with one of each.

Cliff Bryans

I was thinking the same thing!

Brooks Moses

Yaknow, I have no use for these that I'm aware of. I'll likely order a half dozen.

"Bracket not provided - Nik said make your own" ;)

Chloe Cresswell

those switches are awesome, would love to get some for one of my project vehicles

Steven Allen

Bang on. And bloody brilliant that they come with a connector AND pins.

Dan North

You are as mad as a box of frogs, but I bloody love this. It's what I wanted when rebuilding my original Mini 40 years ago!

Guy Chapman, the Solutions Archaeologist

Holy crap. This is incredible.

Adam Stadnick

Hardly.

Bad Obsession Motorsport

The reason we have been waiting for the finished car is merch Jesus boys you sure know how to burn the place down as you exit

J P

We think so compared with what else is on the market. Thanks.

Bad Obsession Motorsport

Thank you.

Bad Obsession Motorsport

I like these a lot. Great job making an amazing product.

Ron Walsh

Very nice. Good value too.

AB

Not something you think about normally. That's why we leave these things to BOM 🤣

Deano

Tidy 👏🏻

Louis

You guys are mad. In a good way, but mad through and through.
