It's been a few weeks since we finished painting the mini and it seems to have gone down quite well. Body shops around the world will be cursing Nik and his creative use of pearls forevermore. In the meantime what's been happening?
Well, the next job on the mini is to prep the shell before re-assembly and that includes stuff like heat management, sound deadening, carpeting and the like. We've been slightly held up by a shortage of materials but that's all sorted now so we can crack on.
While waiting for the gear to arrive, we thought it would be a great idea to look at the Escargot. Until that is, a particular decision was made and now the whole scope of the project has got even more ambitious. Not like us at all...
So - don't hold us to this because you know what we're like - but we're trying to get Binky 34 and Escargot 6 filmed this month.
In addition, we'll be bringing the mini to the inaugural Historic Rally Festival at Weston Park on August 21st and 22nd. We might even have it running by then...
Government restrictions mean it's been a bit more difficult to get on with it, but we're doing our best to bring you the content you love as soon as we can. Thanks for sticking with us!
