Poor bloody dog. I wish I could help. I think I share your empathy with them, since I had an anger problem as a young adult that was developing into sudden bursts of violence. I managed to fix it before it went beyond breaking walls, not wanting to end up hurting someone. Poor dog doesn't know how.

2024-09-04 20:22:38 +0000 UTCNot that we're not open to unique suggestions if you have others! Obviously would love to find a solve we haven't thought of, and appreciate the sentiment. Current stage is I'm interviewing various rescues to see if any will sign something that indemnifies us from liability when he inevitably bites them. The one thing we're sure of at this point is he likes to bite, he will bite, and there's very little hope that regular bites won't be a part of his future. I would say he's totally enamored of jenn, but he's also bitten them on the face and left scars right by their eye and stuff.

2024-09-04 18:42:11 +0000 UTCWe got an expensive custom muzzle made, but he claws at it so constantly he was ripping his lips all up, and had to go into the vet each time, which always means fully sedating him because he attacks the doctors, so we quickly racked up a couple thousand in bills ww can’t afford. Several behaviorists have at this point told us it’s abusive to muzzle him.

2024-09-04 18:13:27 +0000 UTCFibaljy listened to the pod, and I genuinely forgot the movie didn't even gave subs! Interesting discussion about the cultural tourism aspect. I'm not Japanese (adjacent Asian tho, and fluent), and I didn't have any issues with the movie, but there are certainly valid points brought up.
